Olfen Gel is a drug with anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic properties. It is used in the local treatment of pain in joints, muscles and tendons of rheumatic origin, as well as in post-traumatic pain. Olfen Gel is available over the counter in pharmacies.

Indications for the use of Olfen Gel
Olfen Gel is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (the active ingredient is diclofenac). The preparation also has a soothing and cooling effect. Olfen is used to treat inflammation and pain associated with rheumatoid and degenerative joint diseases, neuralgia, and after injuries.
Dosage: Rub 0,5-3 ml of the gel on the sore spot three to four times a day.
Olfen Gen and contraindications and warnings
- A contraindication to the use of Olfen Gel is hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Do not use on damaged skin.
- The preparation is for external use only, for use on the skin.
- Avoid contact of Olfen Gel with the eyes and mucous membranes.
- Do not use on damaged skin surface.
- If the symptoms persist or worsen after 7 days of using the preparation, a medical consultation is recommended.
- Do not use for more than 14 days in the case of post-traumatic or inflammatory conditions of soft tissue or 21 days in the case of inflammation of the joints.
- Exercise caution, especially during long-term use, in the case of: gastric ulcer and / or duodenal ulcer, severe liver and / or kidney failure.
- In the case of long-term use or application to large areas of the skin surface, possible systemic side effects.
- It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.
- Mild and transient skin symptoms at the application site may occur (rash, eczema, erythema, dermatitis [including contact dermatitis]). Very rare: lumpy rash, hypersensitivity, angioedema, asthma, photosensitivity reactions.
Interactions with other drugs
When applying olfen Gel topically to the skin, the likelihood of drug interactions is low.
