Olesya Zheleznyak: “I remain a child at heart”

She looks like Pippi Longstocking, who does not want to grow up against the laws of nature. There is a mischievous gleam in her eyes, her movements are impetuous and boyishly angular. But recently, the bright clowness Olesya Zheleznyak also got a serious, “adult” role – in Lenkom’s performance “The Lady’s Visit”. Today she leafs through an album with personal photos and comments on the most important.

“It’s hard for me to define myself. I am an insecure person, and I do not have the feeling that I have already understood something about this life. But if I wanted to change, I probably would. My lack of confidence is compensated by other qualities. I am very resilient. When it seems that there are no forces anymore, new reserves suddenly open up and it turns out that I am capable of a lot. Can’t be in conflict. Even at home, having quarreled with my husband, I want to immediately reconcile. It’s bad when there is no peace. I have two children, I have responsibility for them, but still I am not a mature person yet. It seems to me that people do not grow up at all: the body matures, we acquire social skills, but in fact everyone remains a child in the soul. And my husband took and gave this “Theatrical Bulletin” to his teacher at the Shchukin School. I had a feeling of grief. But I survived the loss and convinced myself that you should not get attached to things. After all, these are just things. When my dad passed away, I suddenly felt at one moment that a person does not take anything with him. I just came home, his shirts are hanging, but dad is not there.
