What kind of place is this, where people do not live to old age? Whoever wants to look prosperous, but does not have enough money for this, will buy rhinestones, faceted glass. There are wheelchair ramps in the US. In Europe there is. Let us have. There is only one problem – they have such a slope that it is impossible to enter. But those who are not disabled themselves may not notice this. The sick are taken care of here, a passer-by must think, walking past on his own two feet, casting a cursory inattentive glance.

But they were built anyway. And in some places they have a convenient slope. And in public toilets – at least in hypermarkets – there are booths where you can drive in a wheelchair. And near the toilet, a special handle was made, leaning on which it is easier to get up. Old people are weak like children.
But they don’t have parents to take care of them. Their children – if they have any – work and raise their own children. That society, which is all right, takes care of its old ones. If I were a novelist, I would write a novel. Society of the future. General prosperity. Families with old people are treated with special reverence. The more old people, the more respect.
Therefore, the family is not satisfied with its own, it is looking for adoptive. Lures at the first opportunity. There are times when cunning grandparents throw themselves 10-20 years in order to get a warm place. However, those exposed risk only the fact that they will move from their families to state institutions. After all, the state is pleased to show off its generosity. But if an old man prefers someone else’s family to his own, relatives are forced to change their place of residence, because the neighbors no longer know them …
This most likely will not happen. And people – not only individually, but all together – should remember the old people. Old people help the human heart to discover in itself absolute love, devoid of any self-interest. We take care of children. Children have their lives ahead of them. And the old people – eternity. Old people are capricious, sad, sick. And there are no more wise men among them than among all other people. There is no use in them – only beauty. The beauty of human relationships.
