Old fashioned glass

An Old Fashioned glass is a short glass with a thick bottom, which allows it to be strong and stable. Its volume can vary from 200 to 300 ml.

The glass is shaped so that you can easily put ice cubes in it and pour the required amount of alcohol.

Initially, pure drinks were drunk from it, such as: whiskey, bourbon, gin or brandy. Today, it is increasingly used in serving various cocktails.

It is worth noting that the most popular can rightly be considered the eponymous Old Fashioned cocktail.

Very often, an old fashion glass is somewhat reminiscent of a stripped-down version of a highball. It is also often mistaken for a rocks glass due to the fact that there are really few obvious differences between them (a slight difference in shape and volume).
