The indications in the case of ointments for corns are – as the name suggests – corns, but also various types of corns or thickening of the skin of the feet.
Ointment for corns – dosage
Corn ointment is intended for topical application. However, before we apply the ointment on the corns, the imprint should be soaked and dried. Then spread a thin layer of the preparation on the affected skin. The place can be secured with a bandage or plaster. It is best to apply the corn ointment for 5-6 days twice a day – morning and evening.
It is important not to rinse the applied ointment with water, but let it be absorbed. After a few days of treatment, soak such an imprint in warm water. A soft imprint should be easy to remove. Under no circumstances should it be cut. If the procedure did not bring the desired results, it can be repeated after about 3-4 days.
Ointment for corns – contraindications to use
If the patient is hypersensitive to any component of the drug, it should not be used. The ointment for corns, in addition to salicylic acid and lactic acid, which are keratolytic and anti-inflammatory, it also contains melanoma and lanolin. If there is inflammation in the area of the imprint (the skin is red or damaged), do not use the ointment on the corns.
The preparation should not be used by people suffering from diabetes and problems with the circulatory system. Corns ointment should also not be applied to children.

Avoid getting the ointment on the blisters on the mucous membranes or in the eyes. Corns ointment is intended for topical application to the affected area. The ointment should not be applied to blisters on healthy skin as it may cause local tissue damage!

You should not use other preparations that work in a similar way, i.e. any agents containing salicylic or lactic acid (keratolytic). There are no known drug interactions.

If you use the ointment for corns, you may experience side effects on the skin. These will be, for example: local skin irritation, redness, skin congestion. Skin hypersensitivity to touch may also occur.
