Ointment for bruises is a preparation that we reach for in the first place in the case of injuries ending with hematomas or bruises. What should be considered when choosing an effective and appropriate ointment for bruises. What ingredients should a bruise ointment contain? Find out about the effective ointments that will eliminate the unpleasant consequences of a bruise.

Bruises – how do they arise?

Contusions appear on the skin with hematomas and bruises. They arise as a result of blood flowing out of damaged blood vessels. Initially, the color of the bruise is red, and over time the color changes, from purple, maroon, to light brown and yellow. The change in color in the bruise is caused by decomposing hemoglobin.

A bruise turning yellow is an indication that the bruise is healing properly. Yellow color means that damaged blood vessels are slowly closing up. If the bruise does not change color and is still very red, it means it is a hematoma. Bruising takes about 10 days to heal. In order to speed up the healing process of bruises, you should use appropriate ointments for bruises. We recommend, for example, Vegan Comfrey Emulsion with cedar for bone strengthening or Comfrey with resin for bone strengthening.
