Base oils

These include all vegetable oils that serve as the basis of an essential oil cocktail. Compared to essential oils, they have larger, heavier molecules that do not penetrate deep into the skin and work in the upper layers of the epidermis:

  • soften;

  • soothe;

  • smooth;

  • prevent dehydration;

  • nourish;

  • restore the hydrolipidic film;

  • protect from ultraviolet radiation.

Vegetable oils are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, vitamins A, E, B1, B12, C, PP, trace elements (potassium, sodium, calcium, iron, selenium, zinc), antioxidants. But their performance depends on the purity and quality of the product. The system of “healthy nutrition” of the skin requires the use of only the first cold-pressed oil.

What oil works against wrinkles around the eyes

There are two types of oils, each of which has certain properties and abilities to have a positive effect on the skin around the eyes.

Vegetable oils

They are extracted directly from the fruits, pits or seeds of plants. The oils of the first cold pressing are of the greatest value – these are the gifts of nature in their original form.

  • Wheat germ oil

    A storehouse of vitamins and antioxidants, helps stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin, improves skin tone.

  • Jojoba oil

    It is a liquid wax and is similar in properties to sebum. Jojoba oil quickly penetrates into the deep layers of the epidermis without leaving a greasy film. Promotes regeneration, increases elasticity and firmness, nourishes and moisturizes.

  • Rosehip oil

    Increases elasticity and protective functions of the skin, improves metabolic processes, helps relieve dryness and irritation, restores the skin.

  • Avocado oil

    Contains skin-related fatty acids and vitamin A, easily absorbed, promotes skin regeneration.

Essential oils

Essential oil is a volatile fragrant substance obtained from plants by extraction. There are 386 plants on Earth, but essential oil can only be extracted from 000-400. Its composition includes from 500 to 100 active compounds!

Essential oil is a unique natural cosmetic ingredient that cannot be created even in the most high-tech laboratory. Its distinctive features:

  • multicomponent;

  • low molecular weight;

  • lipophilicity (well soluble in fat);

  • the ability to influence the emotional state of a person.

Essential oils often act as active ingredients in aromatherapy products aimed at correcting wrinkles. With high penetrating power and the richest chemical composition, they stimulate the synthesis of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the skin, simultaneously reducing swelling and improving microcirculation.

A few drops of essential oil are added to the base vegetable oil.

Essential oils through the sense of smell act on the limbic system, which is responsible for memories and emotions. With their help, you can influence not only the condition of the skin, but also the psycho-emotional state and even memory. Just a few deep breaths can relax a person, and this is very important when it comes to caring for the skin around the eyes. After all, it is the eyes that experience serious stress and stress, which provokes the premature formation of wrinkles.

  • Apply to clean skin in small amounts.
