Oftipan is used in disorders of the secretion of tear fluid and dry eye syndrome. The active substance of the preparation is polyacrylic acid. It creates a protective substance on the cornea of the eye and ensures its long-lasting hydration. The preparation should not be used on contact lenses. The drug is an over-the-counter eye gel.

Oftipan indications for use
The indication for the use of Oftipan is a disorder of the secretion of tear fluid and dry eye syndrome.
Dosage
- 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 3-5 × / d and before going to bed.
If other ophthalmic drugs are used in parallel, Oftipan should be administered last, 5 minutes after the previous drug. Patients using contact lenses should remove them before instillation.
Oftipan and contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of its components is a contraindication to the use of Oftipan.
Oftipan – warnings
- If contact lenses are worn, they should be removed before use of Oftipan.
- Oftipant can be used in pregnant women or during breastfeeding (consult your doctor before use).
- After use of Oftipan, you may experience a temporary deterioration in vision.
- In the event of an allergic reaction, the use of the preparation should be discontinued.
- The preparation contains cetrimide as a preservative that may cause eye irritation.
- People who experience blurred vision after using the preparation should not drive or operate motor vehicles.
Oftipan – interactions
In the case of using other ophthalmic drugs, Oftipan should be instilled last, not earlier than 5 minutes after administration of the previous drug.

Transient visual acuity disturbances may occur during treatment with Oftipan.
