Have you decided to do IVF? Then do not expect mercy from nature, nothing good will come of it. And ruin your health, and do not give birth to a full-fledged child. Just do not think that this is my personal opinion. Rita Valeeva, Deputy Minister of Health of Bashkiria, said something like this during one of the round tables on new technologies in medicine. Just like that, she took and printed several million people who were diagnosed with infertility in Russia:
“IVF method is a desperation method for infertile couples. Why does infertility develop? Because nature rejects material that is unsuitable for conservation in this population. Nature is very smart. When we talk about IVF, we are whipping the horse with a whip. This is not health. Because it is not normal when the hormonal system is constantly being stimulated … This is not a method of giving birth to a healthy child. “
It turns out that an official with a higher medical education, who worked as the chief pediatrician of Bashkortostan for ten years, started talking about natural selection. Like, nature did not give, there is nothing to try. According to this logic, in general, all medicine should be taken and canceled. Have you ever done surgery before? The appendix has inflamed, peritonitis has begun – order a memorial. Stones in the gallbladder – in fact, go choose a place in the cemetery, because when they break through, and they will, you will die quickly. Once upon a time, the flu was almost a death sentence. That is, any operation, any medicine is unhealthy. After all, nature has not provided for any unnecessary interventions in the body, the essence of natural selection is precisely the principle “you will not survive,” and not “they will not save, they will not save”.
However, let’s try without emotion. Let’s turn to the numbers. In Russia, 6 million women and 4 million men are recognized as infertile. Moreover, doctors are sounding the alarm: these figures are increasing by several hundred thousand a year. About 35 thousand IVF protocols are carried out in our country annually. So not all infertile couples will eventually be able to become parents even after medical intervention. Only a third of the protocols are being successfully completed. That is, through IVF, more than ten thousand children are born in Russia every year. How? How can each of them be labeled as “inferior”?
The first IVF baby appeared in England in 1978. The girl was named Louise. In 2006, she herself became a mother naturally. The first IVF baby in Russia appeared in 1986. And again the girl. Lenochka Dontsova. She, too, has already become a mother. Absolutely healthy and full-fledged children, and now they are adults. And these are the very first attempts to conceive a child outside the body!
If we talk about genetic diseases, IVF is often recommended for those couples who have children or have been pregnant with serious diseases, since the best, absolutely healthy cells are selected for IVF. And no shamanism, no cyborg children, because in order for a baby to be born, nothing but an egg and a sperm is used. And the equipment, the process of collecting material, growing the embryo – these are the very new technologies, but they will not affect the most important cell in any way.
I have no IVF experience, no close acquaintances who entered into the protocol. There are only friends of friends who have adorable twin boys. I look at my Marusya, and I don’t see any difference at them. They also smile, eat, and grow.
There is a colleague who had both fallopian tubes removed – this is not her fault. Because of this, it cannot be called genetic junk. She really wants a child, and I am sure she will be a great mother. Yes, she will do IVF. I can’t even imagine how she felt after the official’s statement about people like her.
Doctors have already expressed their opinion on this matter. And they are also at a loss. It turns out that Valeeva has information that, by some miracle, passed by the best reproductive specialists in the country. After all, none – none at all! – there is no data confirming her unbearably cruel words.
However, there is one thing that should be feared when deciding on IVF. I have a friend who was told more than ten years ago that she could only become a mother after IVF. Each time the friend found a million reasons why she would not do this. At first she said that there was no money for a paid protocol, they say, nothing good would come of the quota. Then she referred to the cramped conditions. There was also a fear of losing a job, and the church does not approve. But in fact, as her husband admitted, she is terribly afraid of ruining her figure and not getting a result. Say, from hormone therapy will smash, and whether the child will be born, even the grandmother said in two. So it will remain at the broken trough and with a thick booty. I don’t blame her. Because entering into the protocol is everyone’s personal business. Only unhealthy children from IVF will not work, do not try to be afraid of it!
