Despite the relative youth of the Arine brand, this cognac has already gained popularity. The drink is produced by one of the oldest enterprises in Armenia – Ararat Cognac Factory “A. K.Z.

Historical reference. The Ararat brandy factory was founded at the end of the XNUMXth century. It once belonged to the famous businessman N. N. Shustov, who supplied drinks to the court of Nicholas II.

The quality of the local cognacs was best described by Maxim Gorky, who visited the enterprise after the revolution. When the writer was asked how he liked the tasting, he answered with a sigh that it was easier to climb Mount Ararat than to force himself to leave the cellars of the Ararat brandy factory.

The company prospered throughout the XNUMXth century. In the XNUMXst century, it was modernized, equipped with modern equipment, but the technology for aging cognac remained the same: new and old oak barrels are used for this. By pouring cognac spirits from new wooden vessels into old ones, technologists regulate the content of tannins in the drink and the intensity of oak notes in its aroma. Spiders are never fought in vast cellars: the web reliably protects the barrels from pests, so there is no need to use toxic insecticides.

Cognac “Arine” was created in 2008. The drink was named after the ancient fortress, the ruins of which are located in the vicinity of Yerevan, on the Arin-Berd hill. The company makes cognac from grapes grown in the Ararat Valley: the plant owns 255 hectares of vineyards.

It is natural that the cognac of excellent quality, bottled in spectacular bottles, was a success both in Armenia and abroad. A significant part of Arine is exported to Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other states of the post-Soviet space.

A little later, the company’s blenders supplemented the collection of ordinary cognacs “Arine” with vintage brandies “Arine Arjuc” 6-, 8- and 10-year-old.

“Aryuts” in Armenian means “lion”. According to the technologists of the plant, they tried to give the taste of the drink richness and royal grandeur. Fortress cognac “Arine” – 40%.
