Odessa maternity hospital is waiting for an attack. “We are not able to evacuate everyone”

The seventh day of Our Country’s aggression against Ukraine is underway. More cities are preparing to attack. This includes Odessa. A doctor from the local maternity hospital said in an interview with TVN24 that they are not able to evacuate all patients. This applies, inter alia, to newborns connected to ventilators and women after caesarean section. His words were interrupted by a bomb alarm.

Hospital in Odessa: not all can be evacuated

More cities in Ukraine are under attack by forces. Vladimir Putin’s troops do not spare even hospitals. Many such objects have already experienced bombing. The missions in Odessa, a city in southern Ukraine, are also preparing for an attack.

Doctor Serhii Mazur, an anesthesiologist from the largest maternity hospital in Odessa, spoke on TVN24 on Wednesday morning about preparations for the attacks. – I don’t know what we’re going to do when they turn off the electricity, because we have a lot of babies, newborns, connected to electric ventilators —He reported.

There are 1,5 thousand people in the hospital. patients. Mazur said that they had already evacuated patients who could walk, and their children, to air raid shelters several times due to alarms. Doctor Mazur said on TVN24 that Odessa, the third largest city in Ukraine, expects an attack not only from the sea, but also from the mainland. He expected a power outage at any moment.
