Octenidol – composition and characteristics of the product
Octenidol is a mouthwash solution with a strong mint flavor. The main component of Octenidol is octenidine, which reduces and inhibits the growth of bacteria in the mouth. 100 g of Octenidol liquid contains 0,1 mg of octenidine hydrochloride, water, hydrogenated castor oil, glycerin, sodium gluconate, citric acid, aspartame and mint flavor. The advantage of Octenidol is that there is no alcohol or chlorhkesidine among the ingredients of the liquid. Octenidol is distinguished by a fresh and pleasant smell that also stays in the mouth for a long time.
Octenidol – a description of how the fluid works
Octenidol mouthwash is especially recommended for the regeneration of the mucosa in cases of inflammation of the oral cavity. It is also used in situations where the possibilities of performing oral hygiene procedures are limited, especially when it is impossible to brush the teeth. In addition, Octenidol supports the action of drugs used in MRSA infections, and its duration of effect is estimated at approx. 15 seconds. Octenidol liquid is also a preparation used by people struggling with periodontitis or gingivitis. It is used as a disinfectant before and after procedures in the periodontium and oral cavity. Octenidol is often used as an adjunct to radiotherapy, in oncology or in patients who are connected to a ventilator.
Octenidol – directions for use
The method of using Octenidol mouthwash is very simple. It is enough to rinse your mouth 2-3 times a day with about 15 ml of the liquid. For effective mouth rinsing, perform this activity for about 30 seconds. Although studies have confirmed that in the case of MRSA, rinsing with Octenidol is effective after just 10 seconds of rinsing the mouth. Remember not to swallow the preparation after rinsing the mouth. You may rinse your mouth with water immediately after using Octenidol. Immediately after rinsing, you can drink drinks and eat meals.

Octenidol as a mouthwash has several features that are treated by patients as advantages of this product. Patients indicate that the use of Octenidol mouthwash does not discolor teeth and effectively protects their teeth against periodontitis and gingivitis. Octenidol does not contain alcohol, so it can also be used by children and adolescents. The study of the effects of Octenoidol showed that within 30 seconds of its use, the reduction of microorganisms in the oral cavity from 4,7 to 8 logarithmic degrees. Octenidol is a preparation that works against bacteria and fungi, especially from the Candida albicans group.
