The drink is brewed in specialized containers with a volume of 65 thousand liters and left to mature in tanks. Their depth is 700 thousand liters, and the height is 25 meters. Products are poured into glass containers, cans and plastic bottles. The beer is of high quality, and this is confirmed by certificates.

The history of the plant and beer Ochakovo

The plant started its activity on December 18, 1978. The reason for the opening was the Moscow Olympics in 1980. There was a deficit in the country at that time. There were not enough mineral water, carbonated water, kvass and beer on the store shelves. This was not supposed to affect foreign guests, so they decided to open the most powerful enterprise in all of Europe and the Soviet Union in particular.

First of all, we launched the production of Stolichnoye and Zhigulevskoye beers. After a year, the plant appeared its own line of soft drinks. At the same time, he began working with The Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo. This is the only time that these two brands were produced by the same company, namely Fanta and Pepsi drinks.

In the 1990s, equipment from Europe was purchased for the plant, and a couple of new lines or workshops were opened annually. Today the production volume is 70 thousand bottles per hour. The largest southern plant “Ochakovo” is located in Krasnodar. Others are located in Moscow, Tyumen and Penza. Exports to 30 countries and even more have been established.

In 1994, the production of the leading brand, Ochakovo beer, began. It was the first to be produced in PET containers, and a year later – the first in cans.

The company is an almost permanent participant in Roscosmos programs. In 1999, she bought out most of the shares of the Saturn enterprise, which was engaged in batteries for spacecraft. “Saturn” was on the verge of bankruptcy, when the president of “Ochakovo” A. Kochetov decided to literally save him.

The Ochakovo firm was among the first to stop buying malt abroad and launched its own production. The malt house was opened in 2003. She also refused imported grain and now owns wheat and rye fields for kvass and barley for beer.

Since 2015, it has become possible to purchase beer and other products in company stores at producer prices. Selling both popular items and rare new items.

2016 was marked by the opening of an experimental brewing laboratory. It is a mini brewery with a capacity of 150 liters. Here the chief professional experiments with recipes and produces craft beer in limited quantities.
