Ochakovo

The popular Russian beer Ochakovo is a classic euro lager with a delicate, balanced taste and aroma, with an alcohol content of 4,6-5,5%. It is produced by the Moscow Beer and Non-Alcoholic Plant according to traditional technology from natural raw materials, without flavoring additives. The Ochakovo recipe uses German yeast, as well as hops from Germany, Russia, the USA and the Czech Republic. Grain crops are grown on the company’s farmland and processed in its own malthouse. Malt content – from 80%. Water for the preparation of the drink undergoes a three-stage purification on German equipment. The duration of beer fermentation is 18-21 days.

The company abandoned the common technology of high-density brewing with subsequent dilution of the drink with water and produces it according to the classical method. Beer is brewed in special vats with a capacity of 65000 liters. It ripens in tanks with a capacity of 700000 liters and a height of 25 meters. The product is bottled in glass bottles, cans and PET containers. The quality of beer is confirmed by certificates.

History

In 1978, on the eve of the Olympics-80, the Moscow Beer and Non-Alcoholic Plant was created, located in the Ochakovo metropolitan area. The plant provided guests of the international sports forum with soft drinks.

In 1994, the company released a flagship product – branded beer “Ochakovo” and was the first in the country to start pouring a foamy drink into a convenient and practical plastic container. For many years it was the only kind of domestic beer in PET.

For a long time, the image of a fictional advertising character was placed on the Ochakovo label. Subsequently, it was replaced by a portrait of Vladimir Brandt, a famous jazz musician and actor. Since 2002, Alexander Fedorov, a driver from Moscow, has become the hero of the brand.

In 2016, the company created an experimental brewing laboratory (LEP). The mini-brewery produces 150 liters of drink per day. Here, the head brewer of Ochakovo brews small batches of craft beer according to original recipes.

Today the company is a 100% Russian enterprise, uniting 4 factories located in Moscow, Penza, Krasnodar, Tyumen, as well as related industries. Its products are supplied to more than 30 countries.
