Oblique twists on incline bench — technique exercises:

  1. Lie on the decline bench, securely fixing the legs, as shown in the figure.
  2. Place one hand on the back of the head, the second in the thigh. This will be your initial position.
  3. Raise your upper body from the starting position, simultaneously twisting the torso to the left. On the exhale, continue the twist until your right elbow touches your left knee. Hold this position. Tip: focus on slow and controlled movement, hold the muscles tense.
  4. On the inhale slowly return to starting position.
  5. After the required number of repetitions on the left side, change hands and perform the approach on the right. Tip: focus on turning the torso and the feeling of tension when you are at the peak of the twisting.

Variations: you can perform this exercise lying on a horizontal surface or to change sides after each repetition.
