Oblique square with bangs. Video master class

The oblique square came to us from Ancient Egypt – they say that the beauty and charm of Cleopatra were associated with this beautiful haircut. Today this hairstyle is one of the most popular and practical. It can be easily transformed into an evening version and looks great in everyday life.

Slanting bob haircut options

There are many options for this haircut. A bob can be voluminous, smooth, with straight or oblique bangs, and even without it at all. The classic length of a bob is hair to the middle of the neck – the strands have different lengths, but have a common cut line. The top strands of this haircut are always the longest in the hairstyle.

Despite the versatility of the bob, it looks most advantageous on slightly curly or straight hair.

A bob cut can have strands that are elongated in the front, or the ends of the hair curled up. This result is obtained thanks to the graduation and drawing of the horizontal strands. A bob without bangs can visually lengthen the face if the hair is slicked back. A very popular option is to cut a bob with an oval outline, as well as an asymmetrical bob, which looks very original and stylish. For owners of thick hair, a square with a short nape and a fluffy pile in the front is ideal.

Coloring and styling oblique bob

In order for the haircut to sparkle with bright colors and favorably emphasize all the advantages of your appearance, it can be dyed or highlighted. Hair dyed in a dark color will highlight the outline of the bob and make the haircut more voluminous. Thanks to the skillfully executed coloring, the bob will become more “playful”, advantageously representing your natural hair color.

To make the oblique bob more expressive, hairdressers often dye several strands of hair of a light shade in an even lighter color.

To style an oblique bob, apply a styling product (mousse is best) over the entire length of damp hair and dry your hair using a home hairdryer. Then take a round comb and curl the side strands towards your face. If desired, use your fingers to brush the ends of your hair, applying a special styling gel or wax to them, – this way you will maximize the structure of the haircut.

Making a haircut “oblique square with bangs”

An excellent addition to the slanting square will be various stylish invisible hairpins or hairpins that are perfect for young girls. Hair can be pinned to the right or to the left with one invisibility, decorated with multi-colored stones or rhinestones.

For everyday wear, you can arrange an oblique, straight or zigzag parting, while for an evening out, a parting highlighted with glitter varnish or hair mascara is more suitable.

Today, decorative headbands for hair are a very fashionable trend, which do not allow hair to get into the eyes and are generally very convenient to use. Headbands of multi-colored devices can be beautifully combined with one or another shade in your image (outfit or accessory).

The evening version of the oblique square can be easily and quickly done just before the exit itself. Curl one lock of hair on the left and right sides, pin the rest of the hair in a shell or gather in a ponytail. Complete your look with a set of glittering earrings and a necklace – you will be irresistible and incredibly stylish.

Dampen clean hair with water and start cutting the back of the head, pinning the rest of the hair with a barrette. Comb the strands along the horizontal parting (the distance between them should be 1–2 centimeters) and cut the hair, focusing on its thickness and density.

Remember that the haircut “bob with bangs on a side parting” is performed exclusively by superimposing a strand on a strand

In order to keep the hair cut line as accurately as possible, first of all, guide the scissors from the middle of the head to one side, and then guide them from the opposite side to the same middle. There is no need to pull back the hair.

Having finished with the back of the head, proceed to cutting the temporal zones. Comb your hair in horizontal parting and bring the haircut to the upper border of the temporal strands, which is located between the temporal ridges and the frontal cavity. In this case, the cut line of the side hair should be a smooth continuation of the cut line of the occipital strands.

Highlight the hair on the crown of the head with vertical parting and pin it next to the parting, which acts as a constructive part of the finished haircut; if it is on the left, then pin the parietal strands closer to the left side, and vice versa. Then brush off the strands that are no more than 1 centimeter wide, and start cutting the hair from the side opposite the side parting. Comb the trimmed strands onto the finished temporal strands and cut them at the level of the general haircut line.

After you have trimmed the entire frontal area, comb your bangs over your face. Its line should run at an acute angle to the vertical strand, which is a continuation of the vertical line of the structural parting. Straighten the cut line and comb the hair with a fine comb to reveal hairs that are straying out of the perfect bob line. Having cut off the “offenders”, comb the square and finally carry out its edging and thinning.
