Warning! For consumption, conditionally edible mushrooms should be collected only when they are young and healthy, without mold lesions and signs of aging.

The taste of the mushroom

According to state standards, the painted-legged bobabok belongs to the second category. It combines valuable taste qualities and substances useful for the human body. In terms of nutritional value, it is close to products of animal origin.

According to the content of thiamine (vitamin B1), the colored legume is on a par with cereals, and in terms of the amount of ergocalciferol (vitamin D) – with natural butter. Fruiting bodies contain almost as much vitamin PP as liver and yeast. In addition, they include carbohydrates, enzymes, certain types of fats, and trace elements – potassium, magnesium, fluorine, sodium, iron, chlorine and sulfur.

Benefits and harm to the body

The main benefit of mushrooms lies in the valuable components for humans.

The amino acids included in their composition, such as leucine, histidine, arginine and tyrosine, are easily broken down and absorbed in the intestines, quickly absorbed, and have a beneficial effect on the digestive tract.

Lecithin, lowers cholesterol.

Important! By consuming only 100 g of butter, you can get a daily dose of copper and zinc, which play an important role in the formation of red blood cells.

This whole complex of useful substances, including vitamins and microelements, has a beneficial effect on metabolism, the cardiovascular system. It also normalizes the functions of the thyroid gland, improves immunity, promotes the production of melanin in the cells of the epidermis.

Speaking about the beneficial properties, one cannot fail to mention the only drawback: mushrooms are poorly digested due to the presence of fungin in them (the same chitin as in the shell of crustaceans).

False doubles

Mushroom pickers often confuse different-colored types of obabka with boletus and boletus. They have similar characteristics. For example, the pinking boletus, the classic boletus and the red-brown boletus at a young age are similar to the colored-legged boletus.

If you do not dig up the stem of the mushroom, which has the main distinguishing feature – a bright yellow color at the base of the root, then it is impossible to distinguish them.

Collection rules

Mushrooms must be collected carefully: do not pluck together with part of the mycelium, but cut with a knife. This is the key to future harvests. Due to the incorrect collection of obabka, the colored-legged are classified as endangered species.

Attention! Collection is prohibited in the Blagoveshchensky reserve of the Amur region.

Mushrooms have absorbent qualities. They should not be collected near traffic roads or places where harmful substances are released, as they contain a significant amount of absorbed poisons.

Use

In cooking, obabki compete with mushrooms both when harvesting for future use and in hot dishes.

The dyed-footed obabok is suitable for all types of processing. It can be fried, dried, boiled, marinated.

Conclusion

Despite the fact that the colored-legged obabok has valuable taste qualities, it is worth refraining from collecting it in Our Country. Otherwise, in vain, the employees of the Blagoveshchensk reserve in the Amur region are engaged in the conservation of this species.
