- Separate stubborn dirt can be removed with gasoline. Pour it into a saucer, dampen a sponge or cotton pad, and gently scrub the stains. After that, hang the fur coat on the balcony or outside strictly in the shade.
- If the fur coat is very dirty, then for cleaning take thin sawdust and a little gasoline, about 100 ml per 1 kg of sawdust. Stir the mixture well and peel in the same way as with semolina. It is safer to do this procedure outdoors. And be sure to air the cleaned product.
Professional dry cleaning shortens the life of the fur product. It is advisable to do it no more than 4 times during the entire time of wearing. With proper care, a nutria fur coat will last up to 10 seasons without losing its luxurious look.
How to properly store a nutria fur coat
Even the longest and most severe winter comes to an end. This means that it’s time to put warm clothes away for summer storage. A fur coat cannot be simply thrown into a closet or hung on a hook. From this, the nap of the nutria is crushed, breaks and loses its attractiveness.
- You can store a fur coat only hanging on a hanger in size. Better to get a dedicated floor stand. It is durable and does not cause the product to sag.
- Be sure to pack the winter beauty in a case. It must be dense enough and still allow air to pass through. You can buy this storage device at a specialty store and customize the size. Another option is to sew it yourself from a thick fabric.
- Make sure that the temperature in the dressing room is not too high. Heat is detrimental to fur. It becomes brittle, dull, yellowness may appear. Heating devices and direct sunlight are especially dangerous.
