Nutrition for myopia

Myopia is an ophthalmological disease in which the patient sees perfectly the nearby objects, but cannot distinguish anything in the distance (the picture in front of his eyes is not clear, blurred). Otherwise, this disease is called “myopia”.

There are 3 degrees of myopia:

  • weak (up to three units of measurement of the optical power of the lens – diopter (dtpr));
  • medium (3.1 – 6.0 dtpr);
  • high (> 6.0 dtpr).

The course of the disease is divided into:

  • not progressive (it lends itself well to vision correction, there is no need for treatment);
  • progressive (development is slow, but if not cured in time, it can reach up to 40.0 dtpr, and even before the growth of a foreign organism).

Causes of myopia

  1. 1 Genetics. Scientists have proven that if both parents have myopia, then in half of the cases the child also suffers from this disease.
  2. 2 Excessive eye strain. Often, the foundation of myopia is laid at school or college.
  3. 3 Contact lenses fitted incorrectly.
  4. 4 Wrong diet (the necessary trace elements and vitamins are not supplied, which help to synthesize the tissues of the lining of the eye and are involved in the perception of light.
  5. 5 Disorders of blood flow to the eyes.

Signs of the disease

  • When trying to focus his gaze at a distant distance, a person begins to squint his eyes (the name “myopia” comes from the ancient Greek language and translates as “squinting”, “sight, gaze”).
  • The eyes get tired quickly.
  • Frequent headaches.
  • Bifurcation of the visible picture.
  • Darkens in the eyes, “goosebumps” in the eyes.
