Hemorrhoids – an inflammatory disease of the rectum, which is accompanied by thrombosis, pathological tortuosity and expansion of hemorrhoidal veins, which form nodes in the rectum.
The causes of hemorrhoids

Useful products for hemorrhoids
- products with “soft” dietary fiber (for example, dried fruits – prunes, dried apricots, figs);
- in limited quantities meat, meat and fish products (for example: lean meat of chicken, veal, beef, turkey, rabbit, certain types of fish – bream, pike perch, carp, cod, hake, pike) with a high amount of bioavailable iron;
- fruits (bananas, apples, grapes) and compotes from them;
- dry uncooked cookies;
- buckwheat, oatmeal, barley, pearl barley porridge;
- honey;
- boiled and raw vegetables (cauliflower, carrots, onions, whole garlic cloves, beets, tomatoes, zucchini, leafy lettuce, pumpkin);
- nuts, berries (especially hazel);
- mineral water with a high content of sulfates and magnesium;
- natural juices (carrot, beetroot, apricot);
- fermented milk products (yogurt, cream, milk, one-day kefir, dairy products with bifidobacteria and lactobacilli);
- butter (butter, vegetable – sunflower, corn, linseed, pumpkin);
- light wines, cocktails, punches, cider;
- mild natural sauces;
- greens (parsley, dill, marjoram, basil, cumin, cilantro);
- soups on light fish or meat broth, beetroot soup, vegetable broths, borscht.
Folk remedies for hemorrhoids
- vegetable oil (dilute one or two tablespoons in kefir or yogurt, take on an empty stomach at night);
- purified water (one to two glasses of cold water with one tablespoon of honey in the morning on an empty stomach) or whey;
- aspen leaves (apply for several hours on enlarged hemorrhoids);
- sitz baths made from onion peels;
- tampons based on celandine juice with a gradual increase in the time of use: from 30 to 45 minutes a day;
- herbal decoction No. 1 (dandelion leaves – half a glass, calendula flowers – one glass, lemon balm – half a glass): one tablespoon of the mixture in a glass of boiling water, insist for 40 minutes, take three times a day half an hour before meals;
- herbal decoction No. 2 (mix equal amounts of medicinal chamomile, medicinal sweet clover and saffron, grind the mixture with flax seed mucus and wine evaporated by one third): take three times a day with plenty of water or use for lotions.
Approximate diet for hemorrhoids
Breakfast: fresh juice, porridge (whole grain barley, oat or wheat groats soaked overnight, whole flax seeds, chopped nuts, dried fruits) with yogurt, kefir or yogurt.
Late breakfast: a glass of kefir.
Dinner: Vegetable soup, fresh vegetable salad, steamed or oven-baked fish, whole grain bran or whole grain bread.
Afternoon snack: fruit salad.
Dinner: probiotic natural yogurt.
