Nutridrink is a liquid nutritional supplement used in nutritional therapy. Due to the fact that Nutridrink is a high-energy product, rich in minerals and vitamins, it should be used under medical supervision. Nutridrink is aimed at people who are malnourished, sick, elderly, sometimes also children. Whenever possible, a nutritional preparation should supplement the diet, but in justified cases it may be its only source.

What does Nutridrink contain? The composition varies in individual products from the Nutridrink series, depending on the needs of the patient. Other ingredients are needed by, for example, a patient after surgery, others for a person devastated by cancer. Nutritional preparations that meet the requirements of a complete diet, however, are a balanced meal, consisting of protein, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.

The standard variety of Nutridrink allows for a high-energy (2,4 kcal / ml) and nutritionally complete diet. It is a gluten-free, residue-free product, providing carbohydrates in the form of maltose and polysaccharides, LCT fats and proteins, the main sources of which are whey and casein. No chewing makes it easier to eat. Various flavors are available, including neutral, chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and forest fruit.

Nutridrink – product types

Nutridrink comes in 125 ml bottles, but some product types have a 200 ml capacity. Other variants of the Nutridrink fluid:

1. Nutridrink Yoghurt style (200 ml) – a product with the addition of yoghurt, complete, high-energy diet (1,5 kcal / ml);
2. Nutridrink Multi Fibre (125 ml) – high-energy product (2,4 kcal / ml), complete diet;
3. Nutridrink Protein (125 ml) – high-energy product (2,4 kcal / ml), high-protein diet;
4. Nutridrink Juice style (200 ml) – high-energy preparation (1,5 kcal / ml), fat-free diet
5. NutriKid Multi Fibre (200 ml) – a product for children over 1 year of age, with the addition of fiber.

They are intended for patients with special dietary requirements special products for nutritional treatment, for example, Protifar (with an increased demand for protein), Renilon (low in electrolytes) or drugs for patients with diseases such as tyrosinemia, cystic fibrosis, phenylketonuria.

Nutridrink – contraindications

Before using preparations of the Nutridrink type, make sure that they meet the nutritional requirements of the sick person. Some diseases are diet-dependent, so it may be necessary to exclude specific nutrients or balance the others.

The main contraindications for consuming Nutridrink liquid:

1. allergy to cow’s milk proteins;
2. fructosemia;
3. galactosemia;
4. do not give to children under 3 years of age, be careful when administering the preparation to children between 3 and 6 years of age; some nutritional supplements are suitable for children, however, please read the directions for use and consult your doctor.

Nutridrink – method of administration

Nutridrink is an orally administered liquid – a product intended for drinking, immediately ready for use, which does not require prior preparation. Nutridrink is best served after cooling and shake the bottle before use. The preparation should be drunk slowly (one bottle for about 30-60 minutes) or reach for it between meals. The product should not be administered to children under 3 years of age.

People taking Nutridrink should follow the recommended dosage. In the case of supplementing the diet with a drink, one to three bottles of 300 kcal is consumed per day (no more than 900 kcal). People who eat only Nutridrink they should consume 5-7 bottles a day, that is from 1500 to 2100 kcal.

The bottle of Nutridrink is stored in a cool, dry place and, after opening, in the refrigerator for a maximum of 24 hours.
