Nut liqueur from ripe and green fruits

Nut liqueurs belong to the group of table spirits with an original flavor. They can be served neat, in cocktails, or added to ice cream and coffee. We will look at two of the best recipes for homemade nut liqueurs with simple preparation techniques. In the first case, the raw materials will be ripe fruits, in the second – green walnuts, the tincture (extract) of which has useful properties. It is very important to choose the right alcohol base, high-quality store-bought vodka, ethyl alcohol or well-purified moonshine (preferably double distillation) will do.

Ripe nut liqueur

Walnuts can be replaced with hazelnuts, peanuts, almonds or pistachios. Some homemade alcohol lovers combine different types of nuts in one drink, getting non-standard liqueurs that you can’t buy in a store.

Ingredients:

  • peeled walnuts – 30-40 pieces;
  • vodka (moonshine, alcohol 40-45%) – 1 liter;
  • sugar (honey) – 500 grams;
  • water – 0,5 liters;
  • cloves – 3-4 buds (optional);
  • cinnamon – 1 stick (optional).

The proportions of water and sugar (liquid honey) can be adjusted at your discretion.

Recipe

1. Grind the peeled nuts as much as possible, then pour them into a glass container.

2. Add cinnamon and cloves, pour in vodka. Mix, close tightly.

3. Leave the jar for 30 days in a warm, dark place. Shake once a week.

4. Filter the liquid through cheesecloth, squeeze the cake well.

5. Prepare syrup from sugar and water. To do this, bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, boil for 3-5 minutes, removing the foam from the surface, then cool to room temperature.

When using honey, heat no higher than 40 ° C (to preserve useful substances) and boil, stirring constantly, until honey is completely dissolved in water.

6. Mix walnut tincture with syrup, keep for 2 weeks in a cool place.

It turns out a dark-colored liquor with a characteristic smell of nuts and an unusual taste. Fortress – 12-14%. Shelf life away from direct sunlight – up to 3 years.

Green walnut liqueur

Normalizes metabolic processes in the body, in moderation is an excellent means of preventing diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and genitourinary system. Also, this liqueur can be drunk just for fun.

Ingredients:

  • green walnuts – 30 pieces;
  • alcohol (95%) – 1,2 liters;
  • cinnamon – 2 grams;
  • vanilla – 1 stick;
  • water – 0,5 liters;
  • sugar (honey) – 0,5 kg.

Green nuts picked at the end of May or in the second half of June (depending on the region of residence) are suitable.

Recipe

1. Rinse the nuts in running water, cut into slices and place in a glass container.

2. Add alcohol, cinnamon and vanilla.

3. Put the future liquor in a dark place for 6 weeks, shake it every 7 days.

4. Prepare sugar or honey syrup (the technology is described in the previous recipe), add chilled syrup to the tincture, mix.

5. Infuse for one week, shake every day.

6. At the final stage, strain the drink through cheesecloth and bottle it. To add transparency, you can filter through cotton wool.

It turns out a home-made nut liquor of a cloudy green color. Fortress – 35-38 degrees. Shelf life in a dark place – up to 5 years.
