About products these days
We live with you at a time when food contains many components that can harm health. But not everything is so sad. The stores are full of those that are designed specifically for nursing mothers. These foods, rich in vitamins, micro- and macroelements, saturate the mother’s milk, which has a positive effect on the health and development of the baby.
General recommendations for nursing mothers
To date, a worthy substitute for breast milk has not yet been invented, so you should stick to eating healthy, complete food.
The first thing a nursing mother needs to know is that the menu should contain 500 more calories than during pregnancy. During the period of breastfeeding, the need of mother and child for nutrients increases significantly.
A nursing mother should eat at least 5 times a day, 30 minutes before feeding her baby. You also need to make sure that you consume a daily rate of fluid – at least 1 liter. This can be tea, milk, or juice.
What should be in the diet of a nursing woman
The diet should contain foods such as meat, fish, milk and dairy products, eggs, bread, cereals, vegetables and fruits.
Everyone should know that meat is a good source of protein, so its presence in the diet of a nursing mother is imperative. Allowed to eat beef, chicken, lean pork and fish.
Dairy products saturate the body with calcium.
For fruits, apples are the best option.
Among the vegetables, green ones are recommended, and with the rest, prepare soups and vegetable stews.
From sweets, you can use marmalade, dried fruits and preserves, and among flour products – shortbread cookies.
The ratio of these products should be optimal and balanced. As they say, everything, but a little bit, because everything that you consume goes into milk, and then into your baby’s body, and can cause colic or an allergic reaction.
How to avoid allergies
To avoid allergies, you need to forget about chocolate, honey, citrus fruits, spicy and spicy dishes, as well as sausages and canned food for a while. There are foods that cause fermentation in the stomach or intestines. These are grapes, sugar and confectionery, sweet carbonated drinks. You also need to remember that some foods change the taste of milk and therefore the child may refuse it. These are, for example, garlic, onions, asparagus.
If you adhere to these general recommendations, then your baby will receive only the most useful substances with milk, which are so necessary for his normal growth and development.
