The Council of Ministers adopted a regulation on increasing family benefits: care allowance, special care allowance and allowance for the carer of an adult disabled person. The increase will take effect on November 1.

According to the ministry in a press release, from November 1, 2018, the amounts of the following family benefits, subject to statutory verification, will increase and will amount to:
— care allowance – PLN 184,42 (an increase by PLN 31,42) – 1st stage. From November 2019, 215,84, it will be PLN 31,42 (an increase by PLN 40) – stage II. Ultimately, the amount of this benefit increases by over XNUMX%;
— special care allowance – PLN 620 (an increase of 19,2%, i.e. PLN 100).
The government also decided to the amount of Carer’s Allowance has been increased and from November 1, 2018 it will amount to PLN 620 (an increase of PLN 100).
Other benefits for families and the income criteria for eligibility for support remain unchanged.
– The amount of the nursing allowance was last increased in 2006. The increase will cover approx. PLN 912 thousand. people with disabilities. It is a change postulated and expected by the community of disabled people and their carers. This year, the first stage of equating the nursing allowance with the nursing allowance paid by the Social Insurance Institution will take place, and the second stage in 2019 will take place, ”said Minister Elżbieta Rafalska, quoted in the release.
In the case of benefits for carers of disabled people (special care allowance and carer’s allowance), the increase in amounts will cover approx. PLN 70 thousand. people.
– We are making up for many years of neglect of our predecessors. We are increasing the amount of benefits that have never been increased since their enactment – added the minister of the family, quoted in the press release.
