Nurofen and contraindications
- hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation, acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs;
- do not use in people with bronchospasm, rhinitis or urticaria after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs;
- do not use in children under 12 years of age.
- Before using the preparation, consult a doctor in the case of people with renal insufficiency and people with gastric ulcer or other diseases of the digestive system.
- People with bronchial asthma who have not taken acetylsalicylic acid or other drugs from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should consult a doctor before taking Nurofen.
- The eyes and mucous membranes should be protected against contact with the preparation.
- Treatment should be discontinued if changes in the skin (e.g. rash) occur at the application site.
- Do not use on damaged skin.
- Wash hands after use.
- If symptoms persist or worsen after 2 weeks, please consult your doctor.
- Use of Nurofen during pregnancy and breastfeeding only after consulting a doctor and only if absolutely necessary.
- There are no data on the effect of the preparation on the ability to drive vehicles.
- There are no known interactions of topical ibuprofen with other drugs.
- Acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAIDs may increase the occurrence of side effects.
- The following may occur: redness and tingling of the skin at the site of application of the preparation, rash, itching, urticaria, angioedema, epidermal necrolysis and erythema multiforme, gastrointestinal discomfort, allergic and anaphylactic reactions, asthma, exacerbation of asthma, bronchospasm, shortness of breath.
- With long-term use of ibuprofen on large areas of the skin possible: agranulocytosis, headache and dizziness, nausea, recurrence of gastric ulcer disease, kidney damage.
