In this publication, we will consider what the classes of numbers are in mathematics, and also give examples for a better understanding of the material presented.

Number class definition
If combined into groups of three in each, then number classes.
The order of classes is counted from the end of the number to its beginning, i.e. from right to left.
- First grade (or class of units) contains the following digits: ones, tens, and hundreds.
- One hundred = 10 tens = 100 ones.
- Second class (or class of thousands) – is formed by grouping digits: units of thousands, tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands.
- One thousand = 10 hundreds;
One hundred thousand =10 tens of thousands =100 units thousand
- Third-class (class of millions) is a group of digits: units of millions, tens of millions and hundreds of millions.
- One million = 10 hundred thousand;
One hundred million =10 tens of millions =100 units million
- Class of billions, trillions, etc.
For the convenience of writing and reading multi-digit numbers, a small indent is usually made between different classes, for example:
- 9 (nine thousand eight hundred fourteen);
- 15 (fifteen thousand four hundred seventy-six);
- 1 245 872 (one million two hundred forty-five thousand eight hundred seventy-two).
Examples
Consider examples of different classes, for convenience in the form of tables.
