50 years ago the mythical film Doctor Zivago was filmed in Soria.
On the occasion of this anniversary, the gastronomic sample of the Spoon and Fork Conference will honor the director’s feature film David Lean.
This will be the 4th Edition, which together with the local hospitality industry and its culinary creations, will turn the capital of Soria into a setting worthy of the best film studio.
The exhibitions and events that take place to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the filming of the blockbuster will alternate with the best proposals from the Soria hoteliers, who under a free theme, will elaborate to make these spoon and fork days a resounding success, powerful and above all diffusion …
For ten days, from May 1 to May 10, the bars and restaurants in the capital, and throughout the province that have joined the conference, will prepare dishes and tapas under the influence of the script of the Hollywood film.
Without linking the theme of culinary creations, the chefs of the premises will be greatly influenced by the parallel monitoring of the filming of the landscapes of Soria, back in the 60s, which he managed to take to the region around the world.
Post-revolutionary Russia will return to the scene throughout the long gastronomic days in the dishes of the hoteliers and surely also in the talks and jokes of the visitors to the province during those days.
28 will be chosen for the leading role, and their originality will be the ones that make them stand out from their counterparts, and it will be us, the lucky diners, who will taste their dishes and at the same time decide which one the renowned “Oscar” deserves.
This Award will be awarded by the Soriana Hospitality and Tourism Association (ASOHTUR) to the one chosen by the public through their vote through an APP created for the occasion, valuing it as the “Best Popular Spoon and Fork Lid”.
At the same time, a professional jury of gastronomy experts will evaluate the three best creations based on:

- Creativity
- Presentation
In this fourth edition of the gastronomic days, the figure of Santa Teresa de Jesús, on the 5th Centenary of its passage through the city of Soria, granting a special award to the “Conventual lid“, of all those that consolidate among their ingredients, tradition, convent cuisine and local products and flavor.
