Scabies is a parasitic skin disease caused by the Sarcoptes scabiei mite. The parasite feeds on keratinized epidermis and tissue fluid. It digs a few centimeters long tunnels in the epidermis and leaves its faeces in them and lays eggs. Scabies parasitizes in areas of hairless skin, especially in folds and folds of the skin (groin, elbows), between the fingers, buttocks, around the trunk, wrists and waist. In children, it is happy to visit the entire body, even on the soles of the feet

Where does this problem come from? It would seem nowadays hygiene is at an increasingly higher level and diseases resulting from its absence are becoming a thing of the past. Unfortunately, this is not the case. About contagion scabies easiest from people who do not comply with personal hygiene. A higher risk of infection also occurs in places of large population centers, especially in colonies and camps, in nursing homes, the army or prisons, especially where hygiene is not at a high level.
Symptoms of scabies

The most common symptoms of scabies are itching and a lumpy rash, which are most troublesome at night and after bathing, as the skin warms up. Prophylaxis and treatment with Novoscabin
Preparation Novoscabin it is available in pharmacies in bottles with a capacity of 120 ml and is registered as a cosmetic. The active substance is benzyl benzoate at a concentration of 10%. It can be used both in the treatment of already existing scabiesand within prophylaxis in a situation of increased risk of contracting a disease. In case of cure scabies all people living in the same household should apply. Before use Novoscabinu take a hot bath, wash the skin thoroughly with gray soap and wipe it. Then rub the preparation thoroughly, except for the face on which it is scabies do not parasitize. After rubbing the preparation, after 24 hours, take a hot bath again and wash thoroughly with gray soap, rubbing in again Novoscabin into the skin. This treatment should last 5 days.
Removal is also very important scabies with clothes and bedding. After washing, the underwear, bed linen and towels that were used during the period of illness should be put aside for at least 2 weeks.
Benzyl benzoate contained in the cosmetic is destructive scabies by affecting its nervous system. It is considered a substance curative as safe, if necessary, after medical consultation, which can be used in children and pregnant women. Side effects may take the form of hypersensitivity reactions (irritation, burning sensation, rash).
