Nourishing facial cosmetics

Everyone recognizes the need for hydration in skin care, but nutrition is somehow forgotten. Meanwhile, nourishing creams are indispensable if the skin lacks vitamins and biologically active substances, and hence effective protection.

Why you need nourishing cosmetics

In the cold season, everyone needs it – wind and frost on the street, dry indoor air (the result of central heating) weaken the protective properties of the skin. Cell regeneration processes slow down. Fragile vessels become even more vulnerable.
To restore metabolic processes and provide competent skin care, you need a nourishing cream.

Composition of nourishing creams

The main characters are oils. Primarily:

  • olive;

  • argan;

  • almond;

  • rose, rosehip, macadamia nut.

They simultaneously moisturize and nourish the skin, saturate it with active substances, transform and rejuvenate. Vitamins are often added to winter care products.

  • Fat-soluble A and E are well combined and protect the skin from the effects of frost and wind, making it soft and supple.

  • Vitamin C activates blood microcirculation and collagen production.

  • Vitamins K and F reduce inflammation, relieve swelling.

    Compared to a moisturizer, a nourishing cream has a thicker consistency.

In addition, an effective nourishing cream may contain:

  • extracts of citrus, apricot, soy, green apple;

  • lecithin;

  • hyaluronic acid;

  • liposomal complex with active ingredients released in the skin.

Principle of operation

Nutrients create a protective film on the skin. Fats and oils bind and retain moisture, preventing the penetration of bacteria. At the same time, active ingredients (plant extracts, vitamins, lanolin, beeswax) can work at a deeper level.

Compared to a moisturizer, a nourishing cream has a thicker consistency. It must be applied carefully, without stretching the skin and not rubbing it into it with excessively active movements.

  • Before applying the cream, warm the skin by holding a warm towel on your face.

  • Spray your face with thermal water. Warm, slightly damp skin is more receptive to nutrients.

  • Spread the cream over your face, avoiding the eye area.

  • 20-30 minutes after application, remove excess product by blotting your face with a tissue.

Efficiency

Many people think that a nourishing cream is needed only in the cold season. In vain! Vitamins do not accumulate in the body, and the lack of nutrients instantly affects the condition of the skin, it becomes dry and dull. To prevent this from happening, appropriate funds should be included in the care program all year round. Here’s what nutritional cosmetics do:

  • saturates the skin with all the necessary vitamins and minerals;

  • normalizes hydrobalance;

  • increases skin turgor and elasticity;

  • improves complexion, prevents the appearance of pigmentation;

  • prevents the appearance of wrinkles;

  • relieves irritation and redness.

    It is believed that the skin needs to be moisturized during the day, and nourished at night.

Types of nourishing facial cosmetics

All cosmetic companies produce funds from this category. Most often it is creams, masks or oils.

Cream

It is believed that during the day the skin needs more moisture, and at night it needs nourishment, so most nourishing creams are night creams. As a rule, they are applied 1-1,5 hours before bedtime.

For oily, acne-prone skin, we recommend products labeled “non-comedogenic”. A cream that is too thick in consistency can clog pores, making it difficult for the skin to breathe. This is fraught with the appearance of acne, puffiness, bags under the eyes.

Mask

In the evening, 1-2 hours before bedtime, you can use a nourishing mask, then at night the renewal processes will be more active. Beauticians advise alternating moisturizing and nourishing masks. But the latter, due to the high concentration of active substances, are not recommended to be used more often 1-2 times a week.

Which mask to choose depends on the type of skin.

  • Cream masks are suitable for sensitive, dry and normal skin.

  • Film and hardening masks (for example, from clay) – for oily and porous.

    Nutrients create a protective film on the face.

Oil

Oils tend to have a very high concentration of nutrients and should not be used more than once or twice a week unless the instructions for use indicate otherwise.

You can apply oils before the cream, along with it or instead of it – depends on personal preference. It is allowed to feed them only dry areas of the skin.

How to choose nourishing cosmetics

Many people think that they start using nourishing cosmetics “at the age”, that is, not earlier than 35. In fact, these products should be included in care from the age of 25, and some areas of the skin (forehead, nasolabial folds) can be nourished even earlier.

Nourishing cosmetics are chosen according to skin type. The method and regularity of its application depend on the season (in winter, protective nutrients are needed by everyone).

Be that as it may, use nourishing cosmetics, taking into account the age, condition and individual requirements of the skin.
