Note to the hostess: how to clean the house

Note to the hostess: how to clean the house

“I will do it next time” – so we say, finishing the next cleaning. Now is the time to fulfill the promise we made to ourselves and finally do what we usually don’t get our hands on.

1. We collect dust from ventilation grilles

Yes, this is not a lacquered countertop covered with dust, nor is it a mirrored cabinet with fingerprints that immediately catch the eye of you and your guests. But nevertheless, these shameful flakes of dust, already falling out of the holes, put pressure on you psychologically no less than cloudy weather. Do away with them literally in one fell swoop, because collecting all this disgrace with a damp cloth takes no more than two minutes, and even if you count both grates – in the kitchen and in the bathroom.

2. Wash the airfryer grill from fat

You always knew that sooner or later you would have to do this, so remove the grate, apply detergent on it, leave it for 15 minutes until the burnt fat dissolves, and work hard with a brush. Just shine!

3. Wash the inside of the microwave

Of course, if you did it regularly, you would not have to wipe off the dried oily drops for a long time. To make the procedure easier, you will have to leave the soapy walls alone for 15 minutes, and in order to avoid unnecessary efforts, in principle, you will still have to pay more attention to this technique.

4. We erase the curtain for the bathroom

If you have a curtain on a woven basis and you value this piece of furniture very much, you can easily run it in the washing machine – the yellowness will go away from it as it was gone. Well, there is nothing to say about the polyethylene version of annual use, it has a place in the trash heap. Once every six months, buying a new curtain is not expensive for the wallet, and besides, it is a great reason to add new colors to the interior of the bathroom.

5. We carry pillows to dry cleaning

It is a fact that the pillows get dirty. In winter, you hung them out on the balcony – to get some air. But if such refreshing procedures did not lead to anything, if you press on the pillow and it does not take its original volume, then it is very dirty. In general, pillows should be dry-cleaned at least once a year, better once every 6-8 months. Cleaning the pillows in good companies includes the obligatory replacement of the cushions, while the down and feathers are removed from the old pillowcase, the dust is sorted, the rest is cleaned under the influence of steam and sewn into a new cover. For an additional fee, the filler is also disinfected.

6. Returning whiteness to switches and sockets

The switches have long become gray, and the sockets are overgrown with dust – it is not easy to return them to their previous state, but very simple. This action does not require much time or effort from you. As they say, a trifle, but nice.

Of course, you made your kitchen apron out of a dark or pockmarked material that is least likely to show grease splashes. But you’ll have enough of fooling yourself – if you don’t clean it now, in another six months neither the ripples of the pattern nor the matte surface will save you. An arsenal of the latest new cleaning products will help you.

8. Throwing out old rags and potholders

Stop embarrassing yourself in front of guests who strive to help you clean up a mountain of dirty dishes or stir up the contents of a sizzling pan. By the way, a huge amount of bacteria accumulates on dishwashing sponges, so you need to change them every two weeks.

9. We disassemble the rubble in the closet

Even you yourself cannot figure out in which corner and on which shelf what lies. Is playing tagging with stacking piles every morning annoying and does not bring the desired result? So, it’s time to take serious measures, namely to pull this whole mountain of things out of the closet into the white light and, having sorted them, put them neatly on the shelves.

10. Making a protective polish of the car

You have been thinking about this for a long time, but there is always not enough time, while the body, meanwhile, is imperceptibly undermined by corrosion. Set aside 2 hours and after the next wash, cover the car with a protective polish. Modern means based on Teflon and wax will protect the paintwork from environmental influences, restore color brightness and shine to it. Dirt and water will not stick to the body. This makes further washes easier and your car stays clean and shines spectacularly longer. The simplest wax polish is designed for 6-8 washes, the professional “sports” polish lasts up to six months.
