During the war, civilians, medical workers, medical vehicles and hospitals should be safe. It turns out that during the invasion of Ukraine, the aggressor believes that these rules do not apply.

As a result, 17 people were injured and three died, including two children.

The Mariupol hospital is not the only medical facility that has been destroyed by forces. The same happened with two hospitals in Żytomierz, one of them was an institution for children. According to the information provided by the mayor of the city, Serhiy Sukhomlyn, there were no casualties, because during the attack they were all in bomb shelters.

In the past two weeks, forces have repeatedly struck medical facilities in Ukraine, despite denial. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there have been 24 verified attacks on healthcare facilities in Ukraine so far. “These attacks led to at least 12 deaths and 17 injured. Five medical workers were killed and more than 10 injured as a result of the attacks. Oxygen transport vehicles for covid hospitals are also under fire.
