Over 137 people are in quarantine

3 people were released from quarantine between 4 and 27 September. This was related to the new quarantine and isolation release regulation, which cut the first one to 030 days. According to the ordinance: «The period of compulsory quarantine pursuant to § 10 para. 5 of the regulation amended in § 3, in the case of a person who obtained a negative result of the diagnostic test for SARS-CoV-1 performed before the date of entry into force of this regulation, or a person whose compulsory quarantine lasted at least 2 days, it lasts no longer than until on the day following the date of entry into force of this Regulation ”.

From September 6, the number of people sent to quarantine began to increase again. Within 18 days, it grew from 70 to 788, which means that at least 137 people were quarantined during that time (some people ended their quarantine during these 023 days, some started and ended).

The more infected, the more people quarantined

In an interview with Medonet, Joanna Równiak from the WSSE in Olsztyn explained that on average, from one person with a positive test for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, 10 to 30 contacts are obtained. If a person is active or, for example, participated in an organized event, there may be more than a hundred of these contacts.

Therefore, it is easy to associate that the increase in the number of people in quarantine is the result of the increase in the number of SARS-CoV-2 infections in Poland. Only in the Lublin region there are a total of 18 epidemic outbreaks, of which 11 are under development. The largest outbreak is located in the Special Educational and Educational Center in Tomaszów Lubelski, where 68 infections have been confirmed. People who have had direct contact with the infected are sent to quarantine. Almost 6 people are currently quarantined in the Lubelskie Voivodeship.

In the Pomeranian Voivodeship, where 143 new infections have been confirmed in the last 7639 hours, there are currently 6860 people in quarantine. There are 4011 people in quarantine in the Małopolskie Voivodeship, including XNUMX in home quarantine.

Any increase in SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infections will be associated with an increase in the number of people quarantined due to contact with a “confirmed” person.
