Not for the faint of heart: the baby sleeps in a ball of live snakes

“Where are you going to get the cat?” – my friends asked me when I got pregnant. Where to? Yes, nowhere. Why put it somewhere? Friends (especially mothers) just shook their heads: oh, these young people, they don’t think about the health and safety of children at all.

Yes, there are couples who do not have pets or even get rid of those that are when they are waiting for their first child. It is not recommended for them to watch the video at the bottom of this page. The video, predictably, went viral on YouTube. After all, not every day you see how a child, who looks like a few months at the most, sleeps surrounded by poisonous snakes.

Four cobras, deadly reptiles, are lined up in the corners of the toddler’s makeshift crib – it looks more like a small homemade hammock. They are clearly aggressive: their heads are up, the hoods are swollen. And the baby’s mom (or God knows who is filming this video) is not worried at all. Moreover, when a baby in a dream grabs one of the cobras with his little hand, carefree laughter is heard off-screen.

The snake really didn’t react to the baby’s movements. Didn’t even try to bite him. It is quite possible that she still would not have succeeded. Apparently, this is happening somewhere in India. There snake charmers are a profession. Cobras, with whom the trainers work, are usually completely safe, because their fangs are pulled out in a barbaric way, and their mouths are sewn up in such a way that the unfortunate snakes can only eat all the little things that the owner graciously gives them.
