“North Sinap” is one of the most famous varieties of “Sinap” apple trees. This species has absorbed almost all the best qualities of apple varieties. Due to its versatility, it is very popular with gardeners and is also grown on an industrial scale.
Apple tree “North synap”: distinctive properties and description
Apple trees belonging to the Sinap variety are tall – an adult tree can reach more than 5 m in height. The crown of the tree is thin, has a pyramidal shape. With a small number of skeletal branches, many lateral shoots are noted. The bark of an adult apple tree is gray. The amount of foliage on the tree is small, the color of the leaves is green, with a silvery tint.
The variety belongs to partially self-fertile trees. With self-pollination, the ovary is formed by about 40% of the flowers. To increase the yield, it is recommended to plant additional varieties of apple trees such as Antonovka or Slavianka.
During flowering, apple trees of this species are able to decorate any area. The buds have a reddish tint, and when blooming, the petals turn pink. The many large flowers strewn across the crown of the tree look very impressive. Despite its name, the variety is not recommended for cultivation in the northern latitudes of the country. The susceptibility of the apple tree to diseases is average, therefore it is necessary to carry out preventive treatment of plantings annually.
