Normatabs is a dietary supplement that contains a mixture of nutrients necessary to maintain a healthy condition of the facial skin, especially in the case of acne-prone skin problems. It is a safe, over-the-counter preparation intended for daily use by adults. The producer of Normatabs is the Polish pharmaceutical company Aflofarm based in Pabianice.
Composition and operation of Normatabs
1 tablet of Normatabs contains 7,5 mg of zinc, which is equivalent to 75% of the daily requirement for this ingredient by an adult’s body. Zinc is an important nutrient for the functioning of the entire human body. It also participates in the proper functioning of skin cells and affects the course of metabolic processes. First of all, zinc stimulates the proper course of carbohydrate and fatty acid metabolism. In addition, it protects skin cells against so-called oxidative stress, a state of imbalance between the effects of reactive oxygen species and the body’s natural ability to immediately detoxify intermediates and remove damage.
Apart from zinc, another important ingredient of Normatabs is selenium, one tablet of which contains 25 µg (45% of the daily requirement). Selenium is an essential component in the functioning of the immune system and protects cells against the negative effects of oxidative stress.
In addition to selenium, one tablet of Normatabs also contains 1 mg of vitamin B6, i.e. a dose that meets almost 80% of the daily requirement. Vitamin B6 plays an important role, inter alia, from the point of view of the needs of our skin. It affects the process of cysteine synthesis and supports the maintenance of an appropriate level of energy metabolism.
The other vitamins present in the preparation include: vitamin A (in a dose of 400 µg, corresponding to 50% of the daily requirement), niacin (9 mg – 56% of the daily requirement), folic acid (100 µg – 50% of the daily requirement), vitamin E ( 5 mg – 42% of the daily requirement) and vitamin C (30 mg – 38% of the daily requirement). Vitamin A has a significant impact on the functioning of the mucous membranes and helps maintain the overall health of the skin. Niacin affects the condition of the mucous membranes, folic acid regulates the process of amino acid synthesis, vitamin E protects cells against the effects of oxidative stress, and vitamin C supports the process of collagen production.
Among the other ingredients of the preparation, we can also find Coenzyme Q10 (5 mg in one tablet), supporting the course of various biochemical processes, helping in the proper functioning of the body.
The composition of Normatabs also includes natural herbal extracts used for many centuries in skin diseases and dermatological prophylaxis. Among them there is: tricolor violet extract (50 mg in one tablet) rejuvenating the appearance of the skin; dandelion extract (50 mg) helpful in removing excess water accumulated in the skin and detoxifying; verbena herb extract (50 mg) with a cleansing effect on the skin; and green tea extract (40 mg), which additionally protects the skin against the harmful effects of UV radiation.
The other ingredients of Normatabs include: cellulose, corn starch, zinc gluconate, collagen protein hydrolyzate, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, L-ascorbic acid, lycopene, lactoferrin, magnesium salts of fatty acids, silicon dioxide, nicotinic acid amide, sodium selenate, titanium dioxide, titanium dioxide , beeswax and carnauba wax.
How do I take Normatabs?
Normatabs are tablets intended to be taken by mouth. It is recommended to take 1-2 tablets a day, whole (without chewing or crushing), washing down with cool water. Do not take more of the preparation, as it will not affect the strength or speed of its action in any way. One package of Normatabs contains 30 tablets and costs less than PLN 20.
Precautions when using Normatabs
Normatabs is a relatively safe preparation, with ingredients of natural origin. For this reason, it is available over the counter. Nevertheless, taking it is associated with certain safety measures. First of all, people with known allergy or hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients should refrain from taking Normatabs supplementation. Moreover, Normatabs and other preparations containing vitamin A should not be supplemented at the same time.
Due to the insufficient amount of research documenting the safety of the impact of Normatabs on the life and development of the fetus, pregnant women and young mothers who are breastfeeding should give up its supplementation.
There were no significant side effects reported with the use of Normatabs.
