An American boy named Malone recently moved with his family to Oregon and started a new school. On his 9th birthday, he invited the whole class, but no one came …
The baby’s mom Kristen Lane sent an invitation for her son’s birthday in advance, but no one confirmed the presence. Despite this, she baked a cake, and Malone prepared games and quizzes for the guests. After all, a month ago, almost the entire school gathered for his sister’s party, although then no one answered their letters either.
“It is difficult to convey in words the feelings that I, my husband and our 70-year-old grandfather experienced when they realized that no one would definitely come to Malone’s birthday,” Kristen admitted to reporters. “We almost burst into tears when we saw our son sitting all alone at the decorated table.” And how the boy was waiting for his holiday! He believed and hoped that on this day he would find new friends …
Kristen felt so sorry for her son that she wrote a post on her blog so that henceforth every parent would not ignore their child’s invitations to someone on his birthday, because it is terribly painful to watch your only son have to be alone that day!
“It’s okay if you can’t come, but at least warn about it,” Malona’s mom said on social media.
Surprisingly, Kristen’s post became one of the most popular on the web and received a lot of responses and comments. Internet users wrote words of support to the woman, and some even said that they also went through a similar trouble.
There were also those who decided to entertain the boy on his holiday. Some left postcards and wishes for him, others sent gifts. The author of the popular book “Diary of a Wimp” Jeff Kinney also joined the flash mob. He gave Malone a virtual tour of his office on FaceTime. One could only dream of such a thing!
