No glamor: what motherhood looks like without Photoshop – photo

Oh, all these sweet statements about the happiness of being a mother, baby eyes and chubby fists, that the most beautiful woman is a pregnant woman, that the most beautiful thing in the world is the smell of fluffy baby hair. All true, of course. But this is just the glossy tip of the iceberg, which hides a giant colossus called “the harsh truth about pregnancy and motherhood.”

No, let’s not argue, for many, pregnancy is the best time in life. Only photo sessions “in position” are worth something. Beauty, and nothing more. Family photographer Daniel Gunther knows all about the place children occupy in the life of spouses – from the moment of conception to adulthood. She herself has children, so Danielle got all the impressions first-hand. From your own belly.

So, Daniel’s impressions: pregnancy can really make a woman glow. But it glows far from 24 hours a day and 7 days a week for all nine months. Pregnancy can be exhausting. It is inconvenient. Sometimes it becomes the cause of serious embarrassment. Based on these very impressions, Danielle created a series of photographs that are designed to show the whole truth about pregnancy. They are, of course, a little hysterical. But exaggeration is a popular artistic technique. Moreover, based on real events.

In the center of Daniel’s plots are women whose birth began in the most inappropriate place (in the subway!), Who feel sick right at the morning meeting, who are unable to take another step, and they are still far from home. There is a mom who has already gone over all the deadlines, she is completely exhausted and ready for anything, just to give birth as soon as possible. Eight hours after the shooting, she, by the way, began to give birth. But you never know situations that are completely unbearable for a pregnant woman! Even going to the supermarket can be challenging.

However, what are the words. Let’s take a better look. Surely in one of the pictures you will recognize yourself too.
