No bread and chocolate: the secrets of the slimness of Korean women

Most Asian girls are very petite. And what allows them to be always in this form: genetics or work on the body? Let’s find out from them.

Traveler and video blogger Kengha Min revealed all the secrets of Korean women to Wday.ru, so we advise you to listen and follow her advice.

In South Korea, a slender person is considered to be beautiful; in our country it is not permissible to be overweight. Of course, a lot of the thinness of Korean women depends on genetic inheritance, but lifestyle and habits play an important role. I have lived in Russia for a long time and I can tell you with certainty that up to the age of 14, Korean women and Russian girls do not differ from each other in figure. Probably, only the size of the pelvis can give a Korean woman: it is much larger than that of European and Russian women. But after 25, I immediately see the difference. And I’ll tell you what it is connected with.

Traditional Korean food is low-fat, we often eat rice, meat and vegetables. Our diet is rich in fiber, which is beneficial for the digestive organs. If you’ve eaten a steak, vegetables will help your body digest it faster. The assortment of meat in South Korea is the same as in Russia: pork, beef, chicken. Vegetables are also the same: eggplant, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, tomatoes and others.

Dishes are usually steamed with little oil. Vegetables and meat languish in their own juice. There are few dairy products in Korea: I first tasted kefir, cottage cheese and various cheeses in Russia. Therefore, we practically do not use milk fats. Our milk is made from bananas and rice, but there is no fat in it. We do not eat bread, we do not produce it. And any baked goods harm the figure, making it friable. Not to mention the fact that baking does not give the body energy, only extra calories.

If you want to get slim, then drink more water, it is good not only for the skin, but also for your body. After 6 pm we usually don’t eat anything, we just drink water. And when we eat, we always have clean water on our tables.

Girls in Korea hardly drink soda and other sugary carbonated drinks. If a Korean woman orders coffee, it is most often a cold Americano without sugar. Cappuccino, latte and other types of coffee are unpopular in Korea.

Young people in our country work a lot, but go to gyms on a regular basis. A fitness trainer is also a nutritionist, giving advice on nutrition and regulating exercise. Therefore, girls can turn to him for advice.

By the way, in Korea it is fashionable to keep track of your weight through an application on your phone. We always have fitness trackers and weights. So we find out in detail information about our body, for example, how much muscle mass we have gained, how much more water we need to drink and what exercises are better to do. Korean women go in for sports at home. If we can’t go to the gym, then we spread a yoga mat and practice at home using training videos from the Internet.

I also tasted chocolate for the first time in Russia. In Korea, it is practically absent, and the one that is sold has a very different taste from ordinary chocolate. Instead, we order fruit jelly for dessert – it has very few calories and is delicious.

But if you are determined to lose weight, then it is better to give up sugar altogether and look for products with its substitute. If you want something sweet – choose fruits, so there will be more benefits for the body.

Koreans are very calm people, we prefer to relax in a friendly company in a cozy cafe. On weekends, we go to karaoke or to the club to dance – this is great for helping to burn calories.

There are many places in Korea where you can rent a bike for free, and we use it. Cycling is an integral part of our life, and girls love them very much.

After training, Korean women relax with a massage. It is popular in our country. Korean salons offer a large number of anti-cellulite massage, body wraps and body care services. But personally, I liked the massage in Russia more, it is not as expensive as in Korea, and it takes longer to complete.

We also use slimming patches. At night we stick them on problem areas. The substances with which the patch is impregnated heat up from the body and enter the skin, breaking down fats. But you need to use it regularly, because the effect does not appear immediately.

Several days a month, every Korean woman detoxifies her body. If anyone does not know, this is a specific diet that includes chopped vegetables and fruits – juice or smoothies. Green vegetables and fruits are well suited for weight loss: avocado, cucumber, broccoli, spinach, green beans, lettuce, white cabbage.

Such a monthly rite helps to get rid of toxins that accumulate in our body and contribute to a set of extra pounds. The work of the gastrointestinal tract improves, the body tolerates stress better, and the mood improves.
