In some countries, e.g. In Korea, a child’s age is counted not from the date of birth but from the date of conception. Already on the day of birth, the baby is added to almost a year. What changes accompany these 9 months spent in mom’s safe tummy. How quickly a new life develops, how organs are formed and how we take human shape.

  • The first day – it is the day when the egg and sperm combine to form a new life. From that moment on, in an organism as tiny as a pinhead, amazing transformations and divisions begin to take place, leading to the creation of a perfect baby. Already at this stage, the color of the eyes, hair, skin complexion, character and, above all, gender are determined.
  • month one – About XNUMX new cells have already been formed from the fertilized cell. New life has taken root in the womb. From now on, each cell has a responsible function and a narrow specialization. Some make up the brain, other internal organs, bones, muscles, joints, skin, nervous system. Each cell is different and develops very quickly.
  • First month – the future mother may not even know that she will become one yet. After 30 days, the embryo is the size of a bean, already on the 25th day the heart begins to beat at a regular rhythm of 60 beats per minute. The embryo weighs 10 times more than it did at conception, but is still very tiny. It is protected by the amniotic membrane that grows with it.
  • Second month – the baby is already 3 cm, his face is not yet fully formed: mouth, nose, mouth. He already has a tongue and the beginnings of teeth. The body is covered with thin skin, rounded and covered with hairs. The heart beats strongly, the liver takes up its functions. The organ building process is complete. He is then very susceptible to outside influences, viral diseases that the mother can contract are dangerous. On the 31st day, the hands and arms are formed, on the 33rd day, the jaw is formed, on the 46th – 48th, the cartilage of the skeleton begins to form.
  • third month – this is a special month of muscle activity. This is accompanied by the activities of the nervous system. During this period, not only genetics but also the outside world affects the development of the child. This is the month of genital formation. Reproductive cells appear.
  • Fourth month – there is an increased growth of the embryo, it is already half the size it will reach after birth. The baby is nourished by the placenta, which the mother provides it with nutrients. The umbilical cord is the connection between the baby and the placenta. The blood pumped by the umbilical cord travels at a speed of 6 km per hour. The ingredients with it are delivered to the baby within 1-2 hours. What a mother eats or drinks is of great importance to her baby.
  • Fifth and sixth month The baby already has eyebrows and eyelashes. The spine begins to harden, nails are formed. The heart beats so hard that you can hear it by putting your ear to the mother’s belly. The baby’s movements are felt, the mother knows when the baby has hiccups. The baby already has time to be active and sleep. Noises from outside wake him up.
  • Seventh and eighth months The baby is starting to get tighter. At the end of the eighth month, he will lie head down. He practices sucking regularly. At the end of the seventh month, it is almost ready to survive on its own. This is the period when the baby receives antibodies from the mother to protect against serious diseases.
  • Ninth month – the baby weighs almost 3 kg, is round and fat, ready to go. The head is still soft, the bones forming it are not connected, this is to facilitate the passage through the genital tract. The first breath is a big event and requires strength. The lungs will fill with air. After the baby is born, it does not take much time to adapt to the new reality.
