Dosage of the preparation

Nicopatch 7 mg / 24 h, -14 mg / 24 h, -21 mg / 24 h is in the form of patches. They should be applied to the dry, intact and hairless skin of the shoulder blade, arms, hips, etc. It is recommended to change the application site. The patches are used individually, depending on the degree of addiction and the severity of withdrawal symptoms.

  1. Adults. initially, usually a patch of 21 mg / 24 h or 14 mg / 24 h for 3-4 weeks,
  2. then gradually reduce the dose to 14 mg / 24 h and 7 mg / 24 h, depending on the treatment results.
  3. Usually the preparation is used for about 3 months, max. 6 months. Smoking should be completely stopped during the treatment.

Contraindications to the use of Nicopatch 7 mg / 24 h, -14 mg / 24 h, -21 mg / 24 h patches are:

  1. hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
  2. the use of the preparation for non-smokers or occasionally smokers.

  1. Without a medical recommendation, the preparation should not be used in adolescents under 18 years of age.
  2. Before using the preparation, be careful and consult a doctor in the event of a recent heart attack, cerebrovascular accidents or the presence of cardiovascular diseases (e.g. angina, including Prinzmetal’s angina, heart failure, acute arrhythmias, uncontrolled hypertension, vasoconstriction, severe peripheral vascular disease, cerebral circulation disorders). People in this group are recommended to quit smoking without using nicotine replacement therapy or, if necessary, remain under close medical supervision.
  3. Before using Nicopatch, consult a physician in the case of: stomach or duodenal ulcer; esophagitis; overactive thyroid gland; pheochromocytoma of the adrenal gland; moderate or severe liver or kidney problems.
  4. Discontinue treatment and consult your doctor in case of severe or prolonged skin reactions.
  5. Doses of nicotine tolerated by adults can endanger the health of young children and even result in their death.

  3. The nicotine contained in the preparation may lead to an increase in the concentration of cortisol and catecholamines, require adjustment of the dose of nifedipine, adrenolytic drugs, insulin, reduce the effect of diuretics, delay the healing of gastric ulcers under the influence of antihistamines.

The use of Nicopatch 7 mg / 24 h, -14 mg / 24 h, -21 mg / 24 h patches may cause the following side effects:
