Make-up artist-stylist, make-up trainer Anna Belkina tells about fashion trends and secrets of festive make-up durability.
The year of the Blue Wood Goat is coming, which means that natural colors as close as possible to nature are best suited for festive eye makeup: blue, purple, turquoise and green. Not used to such bright shades of shadows? Then make a choice in favor of arrows, both classic and a la “cat’s eye” or “oriental”. Bright arrows have both become fashionable and are not inferior to positions. Experiment with color, but do not forget that the shade of mascara must be a little darker than the color of the eyeliner. What color to choose for the lips, decide for yourself. There are two trends in fashion – “natural lips”: transparent gloss, natural colors, creamy lipsticks of gentle tones and bright shades – plum, chocolate, burgundy.
Want to impress others with “doll” eyes, but your eyelashes lack the curve? Try perming your eyelashes. The curl will last up to two to three months. A more gentle option is a temporary permanent perm, which will last for two or three weeks, you will have time to shine at a corporate party and become the queen of New Year’s Eve. If you do not have enough volume and length, try a beam eyelash extension, however, this beauty will last no more than a couple of weeks.
Sequins and rhinestones on the face are only welcome if you’ve opted for a monochrome, non-sparkling outfit. Miniature crystals will add mystery to the image, if you do not overdo it with accents. There will be enough crystal “tears” in the corners of the eyes. Just be sure to cleanse the area with lotion or soap to degrease the skin, otherwise the crystal will quickly come off. And keep in mind that small “stones” stay on the skin longer than large ones.
If you plan not just to spend a couple of hours at the table and go to bed, but dance and walk, you cannot do without a primer – a base for makeup. This product prepares the skin for the foundation, smoothes, ensures even application, natural look and durability. Another way to insure yourself against leaking tones is to use waterproof products marked “double stay”. It won’t be easy to wash them off, but this makeup won’t melt from the heat. Afraid that the shadows will roll or the lipstick will disappear in the middle of dinner? Apply primer to lips and eyelids and no problem. If you feel uncomfortable with the primer on your lips, insure the lipstick against fading by shading the lips with a contour pencil, and then using a brush, apply the base color. This will make the lipstick thicker and last longer.
