On New Year’s holidays, it would be good not only to relax, but also to recuperate. This is exactly what SPA hotels are designed for. We have selected four countries – the most healing and the most affordable.
Israel: Santa Claus will not be
You can give up on the Ein Bokek resort on the Dead Sea right on New Year’s. Just keep in mind – you most likely will not see either Santa Claus, or the Snow Maiden, or festive Christmas trees with garlands – in Israel, no one celebrates the New Year at this time, they celebrate it there in September. But at your disposal there will be a SPA center with various procedures, a pool with Dead Sea water, a medical clinic. By the way, even three-star hotels have their own SPA centers on the Dead Sea, so the trip may not be too expensive if you want to save money. You will be offered treatments that will improve your well-being and improve your health, for example, classical and Thai massage, shiyatsu massage, mud wrap, reflexology, therapeutic baths with aromatic oils or with mineral and salt supplements, hydrogen sulfide baths, inhalation based on Dead Sea minerals.

Lithuania: relieve stress
A three-day program in a modern SPA center (recreational and entertainment tourist center “Trasalis”) in Trakai, 27 kilometers from Vilnius. It offers over 100 wellness and spa treatments. There are salt rooms, an infrared sauna, a pool with Dead Sea water, massages, mud therapy, relaxation therapy, special therapy for pregnant women and babies. Three water slides are equipped, there is a swimming pool with artificial waves, jacuzzi, Turkish, Russian, steam baths and sauna, water bar. For children – a shallow play pool with a mushroom-shaped fountain. You can visit the Hammam Turkish bath and choose what your body needs most: complete relaxation or exotic massages and body peels.
You will be offered various programs, among which you can choose what you need most: for example, there is an anti-stress program (called “Oasis of Calm”) or a weight loss program. The trip also includes a tour of Vilnius, a visit to the Akropolis shopping center.
Latvia: chocolate wrap
There are good SPA centers in Jurmala, according to travel agencies and offer trips for at least three days. Chocolate wrap, massages, aroma baths, anti-stress back treatments, aquaclub, other health-improving procedures – and you will be provided with heavenly pleasure.
Tunisia: rejuvenating massages
In this country, the rest will turn out to be quite expensive: the best SPA centers are located in five-star hotels, but if you wish, you can stay in the top three or four, and choose the procedures and massage at your discretion in the neighboring five. A full two-week course will cost you about 1,5 thousand dollars. You will be offered a variety of massages: for the face with aromatic oils for skin rejuvenation, general, heat energy, for weight loss, as well as acupuncture, aromatherapy and other procedures for beauty, weight loss and rejuvenation.
By the way, now in such resorts as, for example, Hammanet and Mahdia, the weather is about the same as we have at the end of June. So here you can swim, sunbathe, and celebrate the New Year right on the beach.
