A tiered wedding cake is a dream for many couples, like fireworks at a festive banquet or releasing doves. However, the amount of wedding services and purchases to be made for the wedding is devastating for the wedding budget. And couples are often looking for ways to save money.
One of such methods was invented by the Canadian confectionery Le Dolci in Toronto, famous for the variety of its sweets. She offers clients an unusual service that allows couples in love to significantly save money – renting a wedding cake.
This does not mean that the whole cake will be fake and cannot be eaten. The new service offers the opportunity to order a partially fictitious cake, of which only the top is edible.
This top can be sliced, eaten, and served as a full-fledged cake to guests. But after the wedding, the lower props part will need to be returned back to the pastry shop.
According to the bakery, this service allows couples to afford an exquisitely decorated wedding cake that they might otherwise have to give up.
Recall that earlier we told why in Britain the newlyweds fed the guests at the wedding with waste and wondered what unusual cakes are made in New York.
