Champagne “New Crimea” is produced by one of the oldest producers of sparkling wines on the peninsula – the Sevastopol factory. The company was founded back in 1938, but only fully started working after the end of the difficult post-war period. In 1961, an experimental workshop was founded on the shores of the Southern Bay of the Black Sea, where champagne was produced both by the reservoir method and by the classical technology with aging in the bottle.
Throughout its existence, the Sevastopol plant has been a base for testing new ways of making sparkling wines. It was here that in the 60s work was carried out to introduce innovative methods for those times for the production of sparkling wines from red and muscat grapes. Back in the Soviet period, the company’s products received medals at prestigious international competitions.
The Sevastopol plant is a full-cycle enterprise that fully provides itself with raw materials. There are two autonomous workshops on the territory, each of which is equipped with its own cellars for aging sparkling wines. Champagne takes place in 20 acratophore tanks with a total capacity of 29,5 decaliters. Products comply with Russian and international quality standards.
