Patients and doctors of NEO Hospital gain a new tool for sending, displaying and storing MRI, CT and X-ray imaging tests. The Medtransfer solution supports medical facilities, doctors and provides great convenience and usability for the patient. The patient has the option of a simple, non-contact transfer of imaging tests to any place in the world via a secure link.

NEO Hospital is one of the most innovative and patient-friendly medical centers in Europe. It operates on a patient value-based care model. Many processes in the hospital are carried out remotely with the support of telemedicine solutions and new technologies.

The hospital’s offer is trusted by patients from all over Poland, as well as from abroad. Contact with our facility at many stages takes place remotely. Striving to ensure the highest level of security in the field of medical data transfer, including imaging tests, we decided to implement the Medtransfer system, which provides an intuitive and safe channel for transferring imaging tests.says Joanna Szyman, president of the management board of the NEO Hospital Group.

Data security is a very important issue. On the Medtransfer platform, the results of imaging tests are encrypted and stored on a dedicated cloud server. – We comply with HIPPA, PIPEDA and GDPR security standards. Patient data is accessed using two-factor authentication. We regularly perform security audits. We are very much looking forward to working with Neo Hospital, believing that the Medtransfer solution will facilitate communication between patients and hospital doctors – says Innocenta Dźwierzyńska – president of Medtransfer.

In Medtransfer, an image viewer is built-in, which, in addition to basic functionalities, is developed towards the functionality related to measuring tumor volume, measuring angles in preoperative planning, or detecting malignancy of breast cancer on mammography images.

Recent years have brought an intensive development of artificial intelligence (AI) in many areas, especially in medicine. The number of scientific publications on this topic is growing dynamically – only in 2020 there were already about 1 of them. Intensive research work is accompanied by more and more offers for commercial use of AI. In our hospital, we use artificial intelligence solutions in many areas, including patient service processes, health monitoring, treatment planning, or in the processes of training doctors. There is also a Living Lab at NEO Hospital, thanks to which the creators of new technologies, including those in the field of AI, VR, AR, can improve them with the use of user feedback. – says Joanna Szyman.
