What is Nemabakt?
Nemabakt is a popular remedy used by experienced gardeners to get rid of garden pests. In other words, it is a bioinsecticide, with the help of which insects are destroyed at the larval stage in the soil and bio-balance is maintained for the next two to three years.
This tool is used, as a rule, while preserving vegetable and fruit crops. Also, “Nemabakt” will be a useful acquisition for flower growers or for the treatment of land in the forests. Nemabact contains entomopathogenic nematodes and symbiotic bacteria.

Features of “Nemabakt” are manifested in its action. At its core, it is a symbiosis of a predatory nematode and bacteria that enter the larvae of future pests and destroy it. An entomopathogenic nematode or EPN (also called an insect parasitic nematode) is a microscopic worm that takes up residence in the soil and acts internally to cleanse the earth. The principle of action of EPN is the penetration into the larva, usually through the respiratory organs and its destruction within one or two days. Then the worm leaves the empty shell and goes in search of new larvae.
An interesting fact is that the nematode is able to exist without food for more than two years. If an insect appears nearby, the worm becomes active and penetrates the body of the insect or its larva. The nematode literally populates the body of the pest with bacteria, which promotes the reproduction and growth of new nematodes. At low temperatures, the EPN enters an anabiotic state and stops moving. Therefore, it is very important to warm the drug before use (in a natural way, in no case should it be heated) to the ambient temperature. Otherwise, the nematode dies on the soil surface. In winter, the worms “fall asleep”, and in the spring they are active again.
How to use the drug
So, you are ready to test the drug in action. In this case, you need to familiarize yourself with the rules for using Nemabact. The preparation is usually “divided” by weight or volume to treat a certain amount of plants or soil. To apply Nemabakt to the soil, it is necessary to prepare a working solution by diluting the preparation with water. The nematode is then introduced into the soil using any type of sprayer.
In the process of irrigating the soil, the suspension must be constantly mixed. In order not to clog the sprayer, gardeners remove filters. It is not recommended to apply the solution to dry soil, it is better to pre-moisten the soil. Also, in some cases, it is better to loosen the soil in advance, especially if the earth is very dense. After using the drug, it is worth re-moistening the soil. This will make it easier for the nematode to penetrate deeper into the soil. The recommended consumption is one package per 100 square meters.
