Nebu-dose Hipertonic is a sodium chloride hypertonic solution. Intended for inhalation, it supports the self-cleaning process of the upper and lower respiratory tract. It is a single-use medical device without prescription. The preparation is intended for use in pneumatic inhalers.

Nebu-dose Hipertonic – action

Nebu-dose Hipertonic is a sodium chloride nebuliser solution available in ampoules. The main function of the preparation is to facilitate breathing by supporting the removal of secretions in the respiratory tract. Nebu-dose Hipertonic solution for inhalation reduces the flexibility and viscosity of the secretion, which improves its displacement.

In addition, the preparation reduces mucosa swelling, stimulates cough and supports expectoration, making it easier to get rid of secretions and clear the respiratory tract.

Nebu-dose Hipertonic – destiny

The Nebu-dose Hipertonic leaflet informs about the indications for the use of the preparation. Inhalation ampoules are recommended for use in diseases such as:

  1. acute bronchitis,
  2. cystic fibrosis,
  3. chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD),
  4. bronchiolitis.

Additionally, the Nebu-dose hypertonic solution is suitable for use as a carrier for other inhalation preparations.

Nebu-dose Hipertonic – directions for use

Nebu-dose Hipertonic is in the form of a 5 ml ampoule. According to the manufacturer’s comments, the device is suitable for use in pneumatic inhalers, therefore the solution should be used in accordance with the instructions for use of the device. It is used for single inhalation.

The Nebu-dose Hipertonic consists of a sterile 3% sodium chloride solution.

Adequate Nebu-dose Hipertonic dose for one inhalation is 4-5 ml. Use the preparation according to the doctor’s instructions. The contents of the ampoule should be used immediately after opening.

Nebu-dose Hipertonic – contraindications

You should not reach for the Nebu-dose yourself while taking other medications. If you want to start inhaling with a hypertonic sodium chloride solution at taking other medications at the same timecontact your doctor. This will avoid possible interactions with the medications you are taking.

Nebu-dose Hipertonic – side effects and warnings

Great caution should be exercised in people prone to shortness of breath – it is best to consult a doctor before use. In the case of particularly sensitive patients, it may be necessary to use a bronchodilator before using the preparation.

Attention

If bronchospasm or persistent cough occurs, stop using Nebu-dose and consult your physician.

The use of the ampoule as intended, based on the Nebu-dose Hipertonic leaflet and in accordance with the doctor’s recommendations, does not cause side effects. In the event of any side effectscontact your doctor immediately.

Nebu-dose Hipertonic – additional information and storage

The Nebu-dose ampoule containing hypertonic sodium chloride solution should be used immediately after opening. Leaving the ampoule open carries the risk of contamination, which may become a source of infection.

Nebu-dose Hipertonic should not be used after the expiry date or if the ampoule is damaged.

The ampoules should be stored in a dry place out of the sight and reach of children – at a temperature below 25 degrees C.

The product should be used as intended.

Nebu-dose inhalation preparation is also available in other variants:

  1. Nebu-dose Baby – sodium chloride solution (1,5%) for nebulization, available as single ampoules.
  2. Nebu-dose Hyaluronic – sodium chloride solution (0,9%) with the addition of hyaluronic acid for nebulization.
  3. Nebu-dose Isotonic – sterile sodium chloride solution (0,9%) for nebulization.
  4. Nebu-dose Plus – sodium chloride solution (3%) with the addition of hyaluronic acid used in inhalation therapy.
