Beautiful, thick and strong hair is a dream of many people. Although it is impossible to give them volume instantly, a proper diet and care can help – the strands will become thicker and more resistant to external factors. Of course, regularity is important.
In order to achieve the most lasting effect, a varied diet and appropriate care treatments can help.
Proper hair care:
First of all, remember that cutting your hair is a must – especially if your strands are not in good condition. On average, it is recommended to trim the ends 8-10 weeks. This will help prevent tangles and make it easier to keep your hairstyle in order.
Before washing your hair, comb it thoroughly, because combing after washing often causes hair breakage. Always use a light conditioner (not on the scalp, preferably on the ends of the hair) and a hair mask no more than once or twice a week. Applying moisturizers too often can lead to “floppy hair” and that’s certainly not your goal if you’re looking for more volume.
Wash them 2-4 times a week (depending on the needs, it happens that people with oily scalp have to do it even every day). Use a mild shampoo, choosing care products that have as little sulfates and parabens as possible. These ingredients can damage the hair cuticle.
Do not wash your head in hot water – preferably it should be lukewarm, and preferably cool. Try not to comb your hair too often, and when you do, use a natural bristle brush as it distributes the sebum throughout the hair, giving it shine. Limit styling treatments and dyeing that weigh your hair down, do not tie it with a rubber band – it is better to fasten it with a clip.
From time to time, massage your head with warm coconut oil or olive oil – this will stimulate circulation and accelerate hair growth.
Hair strengthening diet:
Taking care of the right diet affects our appearance, also in terms of hair. During the spring solstice, reach for supplements – multivitamin, tablets with curd and biotin. Also remember about movement and physical activity, because they improve circulation, which also supports hair growth. It is also important to relax and get enough sleep, because stress promotes hair loss and worsens the appearance of the hairstyle. What food promotes beautiful hair:
- Eat plenty of dark green vegetables like spinach and broccoli, which have vitamins A and C, as well as iron and calcium.
- Bet on salmon – an excellent source of protein, omega-3 acids, iron, vitamin B-12,
- Take a liking to legumes – you will find zinc, biotin, protein, iron,
- Crunch nuts – a source of fatty acids and zinc.
