Preventive examinations for breast cancer should be performed regularly. They must include both mammography, ultrasound and regular self-examination. The cosmetics we use are also important.
A healthy diet and a balanced lifestyle may not be enough if we reach for a deodorant rich in harmful substances every morning.
Ingredients that should be avoided
Although the opinions of researchers regarding the harmfulness of parabens are divided, their harmful effects are supported by finding trace amounts of parabens in cancer tissue.
The second harmful substance in the composition of deodorants is aluminum, or aluminium, which can penetrate into the body. It is used to reduce the production of sweat, it is the basic ingredient of many deodorants. The relationship between breast cancer and aluminum is currently being investigated. Already, organic producers withdrew it from their recipes.
Nature of natural deodorants
Natural deodorants are safe, even when applied under the armpits right after depilation. The aloe vera present in them soothes irritations, inflammation and fights bacteria. In turn, organic tea tree oil eliminates unpleasant odors and prevents the growth of bacteria. The third important ingredient is witch hazel hydrolate, which soothes redness and itching of the skin, and is also an effective antioxidant. They also contain shea butter, coconut oil and baking soda.
In favor of this type of products is the use of a combination of real essential oils, e.g. citrus, ginger, jasmine, or just lavender. All we have to do is get used to the creamy consistency under the arm…
Natural deodorants purchased in the store, although worth the price, may seem too expensive in the opinion of many users. The price of an average product ranges from PLN 20-50, but it is not difficult to come across a cosmetic for which we will pay close to PLN 100. However, a bit of good will is enough to create a deodorant of your own production in a few minutes.
Homemade deodorant
Place 3 tablespoons of coconut oil in a jar and heat it in a water bath. Add 3 tablespoons of baking soda and 20 drops of essential oil, mix thoroughly. Leave for a few minutes in the freezer. The deodorant prepared in this way can be stored at room temperature, and in hot weather, it can be stored in the refrigerator. The first ingredient, in addition to reducing the smell of sweat, is rich in antibacterial properties, in addition, baking soda absorbs excess moisture and fights bacteria.
