In October 2013, the long-awaited cosmetic brand Nars will appear on sale exclusively in the L’Etoile chain of stores in Moscow (on Bolshaya Sadovaya street, at the Atrium shopping center on Kurskaya and in the Moscow Gallery shopping center). The founder of Nars is the world famous makeup artist François Nars. Before creating a brand under his own name, François managed to gain tremendous experience in the field of beauty. He graduated from the Carita make-up school in Paris, then worked for a long time in New York as a makeup artist on fashion shoots. After receiving good recommendations, Nars begins to cooperate with the Versace brand. But a few years later he transferred to the fashion house Marc Jacobs as the head of the work of makeup artists at the brand’s Fashion Week.

François Nars came up with the idea of ​​creating his own cosmetic brand almost at the beginning of his career. According to him, when working on shows and filming, he always lacked the right shades. So, in 1994, he decided to present his own collection of lipsticks. Thanks to the rich shades of lipsticks, they instantly became popular. And François, inspired by his success, began work on other collections. As a result, now the Nars assortment includes about 400 products. And the makeup artist seeks inspiration for the constant renewal of collections and the creation of new ones on his own island Motu Tané, which he acquired in the 2000s. “Motu-Tane Island inspires me to create new colors. When I am there, so many ideas come to mind. It is a magical place, ”says François Nars.

The fall makeup collection from Nars embodies the idea of ​​a protest against the ordinary. The advertising campaign François Nars (by the way, he personally participates in the creation of all the photos and videos of the brand) filmed in New York, inspired by photographs of the 70s. “I was inspired to create the autumn collection by the image of an independent, strong woman. I was reviewing the film “The Eyes of Laura Mars” and I thought: who would this woman be today? I wanted to translate the image of the main character into the language of modernity, ”says the makeup artist and brand founder. The face of cosmetics was the popular German model Toni Garrn, who, according to Nars, was able to convey the character of a 70s woman – independence and self-confidence. “Tony has a very unusual appearance, which makes her seem completely casual and unattainably perfect at the same time. This is what it takes to embody the style of the work of Helmut Newton and Chris von Vandenheim, ”explains François Nars explaining his choice of model for the advertising shoot.

The collection of autumn makeup 2013 includes products that are indispensable for creating a bright and memorable image.

For eye makeup, François Nars created four shades of eyeshadow for every taste: provocative and unusual blue-violet tone Kamchatka aqua Bavaria; as well as restrained and calm gray Nambia and beige-brown Yamal. Also for the eyelids, the make-up artist presented two shades of pencils of dark chocolate tone Via De ‘Martelli and light sandy Las Ramblas.

The fall 2013 lip makeup from Nars is also very impressive. The collection includes two unforgettable shades of matte lipsticks – purple, or, as François himself says, the color of the orchid, LaPaz, and also the ginger-pink Peloponnese; and two shades of pencil – pale pink Paimpol and scarlet MysteriousRed.

And, of course, the creator could not ignore the manicure. This fall he proposes to paint his nails in bright purple Fury and light gray Galathee.
